no one insulted anyone, im just sad that so many lost their jobs. I hope they all land on their feet.

I don't see anyone insulting them, but considering the number of people laid off and more importantly who those people are, it is quite understandable that people are worried for the future of the game.

 

Have I ever thought that Gaile Gray would be fired by ANet after being with them since I literally started playing GW1? Never crossed my mind and I feel sorry that such an important figure to the community is gone. The other employees affected also had important roles and were also affected.

 

The game is not shutting off anytime soon, but that doesn't mean its' future will look the same.
