Bone Minions with ammunition mechanic

That's exactly the point. Being able to detonate them without having to do that horribly long channel every time and not having to waste a Minion, just to resummon the second one. It's the reason same mantras got the ammo mechanic.

Mantras don't create extra bodies in the world. If the ammo mechanic is to summon the bone minions, how do you detonate them? If it's to detonate them, how do you summon them?

super great idea. Equipping the skill summons 2 minions, it summons them 1 ever 2 seconds up to 2. Then you click the skill to detonate them and they re-summon automatically. Would be cool if we traited in death we gt a 3rd minion.

 

Similar to how command skeletons works in diablo 3

You could make Bone Minions as ammo like this: when you use a charge, a "rat" digging it's way out would appear at the feet of your target (or yourself if no target) and follow/explode right away. No more walking with them around, taking condi from you, though.

 

But that would still be a rather bland skill in my opinion.

 

By the way, thinking about it makes me sick that Well of Blood is a freaking light field and not a water one. Then, these little rats would be more interesting.

1st activation : Summon 2 minions. Change to detonate (as it is now). Detonate 1 minion : now a cooldown happens, after which you regain the "ammo counter", aka there is automatically a second bone minion summoned. Detonate 2 one after the other? Skill returns to "Summon bone minions". Which is exactly how the new Mantra mechanic works.
