Is this a new problem that has just started recently? Have you tried doing a rebuild/reinstall of the game client and rebooting your computer?

I took a break from playing since mid January. I tried coming back on a couple times this month but it crashes within a minute. I'm now installing the client again but now the install doesn't even finish before GW2 crashes.

Yes, I've tried rebooting my comp.

~~I cant even press show details - it's frozen. I have to force quit it. This is so ridiculous - haven't been able to play for weeks. Probably will submit a ticket unless anyone else has advice?~~

Was able to access it now. It says assertion: launcher: browser crashed. Error 7.

Try reducing your texture quality and maybe a few other graphics settings to medium or low and that might fix the crashing. It has for me so far.

They should merge all three threads...
