Are week long match ups too long?

No, that's not what I was thinking of. This was actually winner is determined by grand total of 2 weeks worth of final scores, it didn't last long whatever it was, I'm thinking it might very been tourneys.

It's always been week long. Between other hobbies, family + job time flies.. reset lands on a Saturday for me which is usually my only day off. I'd hate to miss the big chaos that are those wonderful reset days in WvW.

Doing a deep dive in the forum archive (because kitten if I can remember 2012) we had **24 hour matchups** which was quickly after release (within 2 weeks) then changed to 1-week matchups *in anticipation of changing to 2-week matchups*. Did we get 2-week matchups? When was that done? When was it changed back to 1-week. Dunno, havent found that yet. Still diggibg theough it. The old WvW archive is 900 pages lol.
