I dced, I logged back in, I missed the first 2mins... I completed the game. I then left as normal after the game.. to be dishonered for 15mins ... why???

So people do it on purpose, and i don't think there is a practical way to distinguish between DC and leaver/thrower

hmm its never happed before, but is it the only way to handle this, surly there is a difference in quit/ logout to a cut in connection?

What if they just pull ethernet out or cut wifi?

It is a little strange because you get punished even if you rejoin. I had that a couple of times myself (and problems relogging... standing in the HotM seeing "match in progress, you can't queue"... but that's because I still have a potatoe internet connection.^^

 

So I know it too, but no way to resolve it unfortunately.

There's a threshold and i think you past it. If someone dcs for 2 mins or longer the players on that team won't lose rating and the dc player gets punished regardless of what he decides to do after that 2 min threshold.
