Revenant or Elementalist?

Getting bored with Thief (didn't know it was mostly a PvP class and I don't like staff). So I'm thinking of making either a s/s Revenant (either Herald or Renegade) or s/d Weaver. I don't really like condi builds so I'm talking about power rev/weaver.

Which has better DPS and is all around more usefull in PvE (both raids/fractals and open world) and WvW?

Hmm, I can't say much about WvW, but Power weaver (S/D) offers better burst damage than power rev if you are talking about raid and fractal but weaver is quite squishy (with a good healer, I don't think it's a very big issue tho). However, there is a renegade build used for fractal and raid with diviner stats so its job is not only doing damage but ensure permanent alacrity. I honestly haven't seen people playing herald anymore in fractal/raid.
