I have seen several players with the mastery rank of 295

how are they achieving this.

From the new map Dragonfall and obtaining the Skyscale mount.

Weird it should have unlocked the mastery when you completed the Skyscale.

maybe you're missing another, like the HoT raid track

He havent finished the skyscale if he doesnt have the track.

Have you unlocked the Skyscale as a mount that you can use anywhere? That takes a week worth of timegated collections. (The timegate will be drastically reduced next week, but material cost is still same)

It comes from having completed every mastery in the game from the Central Tyria ones to the HoT ones, to Raids (which unlock after defeating one of the raid bosses. Which one doesn't matter) to lss3, to PoF and at last the ones for lss4.

With raids done you'd have 295

Without you'll only be able to obtain 287
