I know it's kinda offtopic and i already have given my answer previously in this thread but I just had a neat idea since I picked up in gw1 Factions story again. The idea involves a new mastery point system which will allow us to further develop a new thing that previously existed in gw1. Heroes! The masteryies could be that you can purchase new skills and recruit new unique heroes for your team. Couldn't find the EoD suggestion thread right now so I picked this one. I actually enjoyed the heroes system and it would be cool to see it return somehow.

Oops, forgot to edit the info that this was about HoT stuff as I saw the Auric Basin meta fail for the first time in like forever again. I thought people might have gotten the hang of it by now. Just an info for clarification I forgot to add. This also applies to 2012 content as I see simple world bosses failing as well from time to time. Yes, I can use lfg but problem is that first all taxis are full despite saying not full (remove your entry please if the map is full because it's irritating) and second I'm too anxious and paranoid to use this these days as I get panic attacks easily because people always aim to judge me, or at least that's what I think... However I'm just curious about why old content is still failing. so far there were interesting answers so far. I know some people are just getting started or have a job but you can do at least a little research as a new player before attempting to participate. For the real life thing though nothing could be done about it but there's also adults who don't have a job, are freelancers, unemployed due to covid or unemployed because of medical reasons. However as far as I experienced there's still people who have a job that needs a lot of attention and are pro elite raiders despite it all and the fact that raiding needs all of your time commitment. However it could also be that I experience events to fail due to my unusual playtime so that EU servers might not be that active around my time period.

Please help... I know nobody wants me and I'm considering switching to NA servers but maybe there's still people who could message me... I'm just too desperate... I would post in the german forums if the people who sent me death threats in the old forums would be banned now but even reporting them didn't do shit and so I'm too afraid to say anything there so I try here and reddit hates me anyways.

As much as I want old gw1 maps coming back I'd rather see some completely new unexplored before areas. It would be very interesting to see what lies beyond what we already know.

With the still ongoing pandemic I doubt it will make it this year as the pandemic and lockdown won't end for sure until summer 2022 so my bets for the new expansion are either fall 2022 or spring/summer 2023

I get it, most MMOs release an expansion every year but that's because these games are mantained by far bigger companies. Take for example, as mentioned before, Square Enix or Blizzard (or even Zenimax/Bethesda). All of these are far bigger and richer companies/developers than ArenaNet. The studio responsible for GW2 is actually very small compared to these giants. Also I'd rather wait longer for good content than waiting less and getting something unfinished and a product that doesn't keep its promises. Sure, Anet hasn't really kept that much promises too with things regarding the newest Icebrood Saga but it's still less worse than what huge developers these days do so at least it's one of the very very few developers you can still trust and I hope that it will stay that way considering how one of the most trusted game developers (you know who) are now losing their good reputation and even got hacked and source code stolen. I know the latter isn't MMO related but it's a main issue within gaming these days that also affects companies like Blizzard as it isn't what it was anymore too.

Definitely much much much higher than anything and much more unforgiving so n**bs learn how to play properly. People even die in almost 6 year old content these days... The game overall needs to be much more difficult and unforgiving as even raid cms are too piss easy and n**bs break it by constantly asking to make content easier. If you can't play the game or learn how to play then maybe don't play at all. It's not like we veterans playing since launch want you in our groups.

I think it looks worse than shown on the promo screenshot. It makes the entire character more black instead of slightly grayish. I'd like it if the unfusion would only change the skin however as changing the armor color is making the overall look bad. Also I don't have a stone or dwarven themed character to match it properly. Would need to develop a new character with fitting backstory and personality then. However still nice to have the infusion in my collection. I wish applying cosmetic infusions to certain items like trinket or weapons would suppress the cosmetic effect as some infusions don't look that good in the end.

Alright, I didn't know the limited items are available for defense tokens/medals after the event concluded because the previous items didn't show up for me there, maybe because I got them before. Also I'm kinda dissa-pointed (had to write it like this because it would make it an emoji otherwise wtf) how the infusion looks in reality. Thought it would only make the skin in a slightly greyish tone instead of completely making everything black. However I'm excited for the next vendor event, if only for the achievement to buy 10 boxes, and what's in stock there. Hopefully a new infusion that looks better or maybe another skin.

It's made for guilds as stated by many others here but I guess you just can't read other posts and second your stupid smileys are offensive and if you don't want to actually join just fuck off! Anyways, as an update: I only need to complete 2 "Top Dragon Responder" achievements now because I can complete the other 2 myself as they're easier and don't have that annoying stuff like constant condi spam or NPCs acting totally stupid. I can tell you that the ones I need aren't Brisban and Metrica because those are the ones I almost already finished. Yeah, I know NPCs are still stupid in these and tend to run back all the time after a fight and randomly stop sometimes but they're not as annoying as in the others (for example in Lake Doric NPCs just stand around the boss on their raptors and do absolutely nothing to help). Either I sacrifice top tier dps (and eventually fail the time limit) and have more survivalbility or I stay on raid meta and go down within a few seconds because of lack of players covering the other roles.

Anyways, it's more a problem that I want to play with open minded people who just want to play for the fun and not because they need to be constantly bragging and talk others down. I'm sick and tired to always have to explain and justify myself to the likes of you! The problem is that I don't have the KP from the early raiding days when I actively raided because my earliest guild with whom I raided actively right after release of w1 to after release of w2 completely abandoned the game at all after a couple of weeks after we cleared w2 and that's why I never thought I'd ever get to continue or get back to the content. I've been trying for YEARS now to find the right guild to come back to this content but without any luck as you might see. However I had to delete all the LI (means I can't join any lfg stuff as they all require 1k LI or higher) as it was cluttering my bank and multiple character inventories because you couldn't store them and you couldn't use them for crafting yet and sold the decoration items to other guilds because I needed the gold as I don't have any genrous friends who can gift me shit (like I always see on tumblr or anywhere else) and need to get everything by myself. Might also be because my friendlist completely died out after 6 years now. By the way: I'm extremely anxious, shy and paranoid which makes lfg literally impossible for me to use and I often get panic attacks from this so I make sure to only be in groups with either guild members or friends. That makes posting KP also impossible because I simply don't talk and wish people wouldn't notice me at all because at moments like these when with strangers I'm completely crippled and uncomfortable... Also I have a disability that makes mouse and keyboard control stuff a pain in the ass and I often end up getting painful cramps which means I cannot perform as 100% snowcrows like as everyone expects me to do which makes getting back to raids harder as well. Well, I usually do all the daily stuff (except general dailies as they don't give AP at all) at daily reset for the new content once there's another limited time vendor available for the limited tokens you get. I'm currently saving up for the cosmetic infusion as side goal before it's not available anymore after the global goal thing and a new vendor shows up so I make sure to run every new daily around 1 am CET (which is my time) and I'm done with everything at like 3 am or a bit after 2 am (depending on if it's a world boss or forging steel at the moment). I do everything solo every time and I've managed to try and do 2 of the missions with all motes solo so far. Didn't know the two I chose today can be done much easily than before because when I tried the first time they weren't patched/scaled properly and it ended up with me being a glass cannon dps melting within seconds. Now however they're doable but it's still annoying that escorting NPCs takes up so much time because they stop randomly sometimes when you move only one step before them. I know I could just solo them all but it's then either sacrifice dps and have more survivalbility and a non meta build and not be able to reach the time limit or just melt away in seconds at some. (And no, it's not about standing in AoS or not dodging properly. It's just that my build is a raid meta build and not having a healer there to sustain healing and with that overall group DPS) However the time frame doesn't really depend as I have time always but I'm more night active than over the day. I'd even only need like 4 missions in total to be completed 5 times as I can do the other 2 myself as I saw now after the tweaking.

I think and really hope that we'll get more achievements added into this with the two other "chapters" to make up for the expensive collections and lfg LI requirement ones (mainly because I'm too anxious and paranoid for lfg in general. I know I could just ask around in my guild but they're unresponsive and hardly anyone is online anymore since years and that's why I'm still searching for a new guild for over 2 years now, sadly without luck). I prefer to solo these instances but I could only have 2 challenges at the same time activated because as a glass canon dps you'll either have to sacrifice the time one or the tough enemies one in order to either have enough time and do top tier dps within 5-7 minutes in total in all missions or have the tough enemies one activated with the time limit and get melted away in seconds and therefore fail the time limit. And don't make assumptions here about me or judge me!!! I have raid experience and know all shit in this game as I've been here since 2012, so stop being condescending! However I'd really like to have a chill and laid back group without pressure that doesn't set requirements for the challenge mode achievements so I can finally finish the meta achievement fast as I usually do. (I usually have everything done right one day or 2 to 3 days, depending on the amount and grindiness of some, oncea new episode or content update drops. For festivals I even have completed everything within 1 hour)

Woops, I forgot about the 5 you can buy daily with materials, sorry my bad... I'm just a failure... Ignore this... But still some people don't want to do the missions so they'll miss out then.

New year, new try... I know all of this is pretty text heavy above but I just wanted to give a warning based on previous experiences and I also would love to be around like minded people and have some sort of a safe environment. I don't want to give people sudden bad surprises and I want to be sure what I'm in for before too based on pretty terrible experience regarding my personality and the fact that I'm "different". I know I'm a terrible person and in the end I might fail everyone but I really hope that I'll find the right people for once. I can't simply start my own guild because of many reasons. one of it being my extreme anxiety and another the fact that my friendlist is dead for over 6 years and the other is that nobody would join. I already tried something like that once but it was not really something. I'm just a failure and maybe it's better that I stop continuing my search and stop playing the game altogether as it offers nothing to old veterans anymore, sadly. However I really hope that there are people out for me I can come to although everyone here hates me already as it shows by people agreeing to previous comments (my judgement is already done on here) and I should just leave instead of pestering you all...

I know this thread is very old and I'm very late but I just wanted to say that I have only good experiences so far. It only took like a day for the support to recover my lost item. Best support in any game so far <3

I really hate having that green star on my screen. I have like over 30 characters of which 10 of them completed everything including expansions and others living story stuff and I still wish that LSS2 could be turned off. Don't get me wrong, I love the story and lore but I don't want it to show on my UI all the the time like something unfinished since gw2 doesn't allow GUI mods like ESO.

It would be nice if they implemented DX12 support in their engine to make the game run better on newer hardware. I mean WoW got an entire engine update too so why not GW2? I know there's a DX12 support mod out there but I couldn't get it to work so far as i use GW2Hook and they're not compatible. I think they could bake this technology within their own engine. And Yes, I know that the game relies on a heavily modified version of the GW1 engine and that it would take a lot of money, recources and time for that but they could at least use a bit of the d912pxy mod. I mean even ESO runs better at some parts for me than GW2 and even ESO has some problems for me at the moment. ESO used to run on ultra at 100 to 140 fps for me when GW2 used to run at 150 to 200 fps at highest settings but both ESO and GW2 seemed to have lost performance with every new update. Especially PoF , LSS4 and Drizzlewood Coast run terrible for me now considering to how they ran at day 1 and considering that other games like Monster Hunter World for example runs better at ultra for me. I can even get Cyberpunk 2077 get to work as it seems with my Ryzen 5 3600 and 1660 ti (Yes, I'm on a budget of 1000€ as I'm not a rich spoiled Twitch streamer getting money stuffed in their butt for not doing any real hard work) better than GW2. I used to play GW2 on a very shitty non gaming PC from 2012 until 2018 and barely got like 10fps on itback then but it really pains me to see how well other games run better than GW2 used to run at firt before every update. I had a FX 6300 and a GTX 1050 before I upgraded to my current system in January and even on my previous system (which was an upgrade from my shitty non gamer PC) GW2 ran better before PoF was released. Also, yes, I'm aware that MMOs are much more dependent on other things than singleplayer games but that doesn't mean that this game couldn't need an overall overhaul. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with graphics since I grew up playing PS1 and PS2 games but still things could be better in terms of performance. TLDR: This game needs better optimisation for newer hardware.
