Why do Roller Beetles have four limbs?

Is there a reason that the roller beetles have only four limbs instead of six? Other beetles encountered in the game have six legs. I am probably in the minority for caring about this at all, but I love my inverts and the four limbs make it looks decidedly less beetle-like to me. Is there a lore reason for this? Else, might we get some skins with six legs? It shouldn’t make a difference to appearance curls up but they would be there and make me happy.

Blunt and to the point as usual.

I'm inclined to agree, the 3rd middle pair of limbs seems to have specialized into a standing still balance tool for the beetle as well as helping with acceleration.

The beetle has really long middle legs, but there are six of them. Not unlike the Harlequin Beetle in real life that has really long front legs.

Ahhh, I hadn’t noticed that those were quite specialized limbs. How interesting! Thank you for the explanations! :)
