Scrap them, transfer the mats to bank and sell the mats in larger quantities.

 

The value of the normal items usually comes from the materials they give.

 

In the end you get the same with only a small fraction of TP sells.

The only way I could see that working would be if you could have a "trade" bag and everything listed at the default price. But there would be so many complaints from people messing up and selling things they did not mean to... (there are already people complaining that they accidentally salvaged pieces of unidentified gear)
