Spirit Shard Update Question

Does this mean that even if I didn't finish all the masteries in an area I can still get spirit shards? Or the same where I have to finish all masteries in an area THEN I can start earning spirit shards from experience?

I'd guess if it was the same, they would not have announced a change in the Patch Notes.

Now, whether it is working as intended, I don't know. Haven't played in HoT (the only place I have not finished Masteries) since the Release.

Im guessing it means we no longer have to finish all the masteries. My guess is they did this because a rather large number of players who typically would have completed mastery training for the new map (Bjora) but have not and may not any time soon. Basically due to the fact that you have to run around the map for hours for ZERO REWARD untill you get the mastery points trained which then just basically let you loot the rewards you should have been able to loot since entering the map. So *cheer* most pointless masteries system ever! So now they made a change so people dont flat out stop playing due to no rewards for leveling in general.

Yep, I never maxed masteries, now my toon is doing the level up boom all the time. AB meta is an explosion of level boom now.
