And maybe some high school team will have enough skill to beat the Lakers. Is this what you actually tell yourselves after stacking on a specific team? At least pro sports leagues have drafts so the teams don't become so unbalanced as to make for a game no one wants to watch.

  3. Queues on home borderlands are worse than queues on other borderlands because home borderlands are a little like EBG where all the roamers and pugs end up. They're usually busy defending and scouting all over the map. So defender tags usually have a harder time getting the entire home queue following them whereas an invading tag can consolidate a map queue in a single location.

Yea it happens, but not everyone participates in that style. IMHO best fights are when SMC (or any keeps) is paper. Gotta hand it to Mag though, I'm reminded of old meme cartoons characterizing each server and Mag's was and still is the pug cloud in EBG. Come a long way from being "Turtleguuma" sieging up NNC.

Most of Maguuma exists as a pug cloud or little roaming groups like KRAB and BURN. That being said, it's still the most fun I've had in gw2 because it's no pressure, plenty of action, reliable teammates and amusing teamchat. Ah, I see. Those guilds have their rallies earlier than I play too. Thanks for the info.

Mag is also very fight oriented. However, we don't (rarely) use voice coms. Frankly we don't need to, as we just steamroll through most groups anyway. The biggest problem of talking up a server's pugs is you end up getting transfers of people who mostly are just there to feel as if they're highly skilled when all that's really happening is they're getting carried, especially when the numbers increase to "steamroll" levels. In the past it was guilds I remember like VR on Mag that were actually fights oriented. They didn't hang out constantly in EBG hugging SMC siege and didn't use numbers to steamroll.

Maybe, if NSP can PPT everything that's not EBG. It's always been a challenge for Mag to play outside of mother's watchful gaze, so let's hope NSP can keep it up > > I don't know why it's so hard for some people to understand that Mag DOES NOT CARE about PPT. They live in EBG because it's high action and fastest to traverse to get to a fight. All the server does is call where zergs/groups are, everyone congregates in that area to fight it off, rinse and repeat. If there's a group to fight somewhere that isn't moving but constantly regrouping _(common places for this to occur are at Ogrewatch, SMC side of Green Keep, and at the ruins choke of Blue Keep),_ they will stay there and fight endlessly until action dries up. > > No one cares if they lose the match, and no one cares if an objective flips. A "2v1 alliance", which right now it isn't, would be something Mag would enjoy because it means they don't have to go anywhere for action. > The only way to annoy the server is to do what BG does and dodge the cloud by staying off EBG. Doesn't CTH still run on the borderlands though?
  9. > @"Gotejjeken.1267" said: > Truly winning would be defending your south camps. Then you spawn camp the enemy / hinder them from roaming in the first place, get the e/w keeps upgraded far faster and not have to worry about north camp at all because no one can get out of the south. If wp's are an issue, both e/w keeps can have those if they would actually get upgraded in the first place. Yep! It takes awhile to set up a good defense of southwest and southeast camps though since you need the T3 side keeps to get back quickly. Small groups that defend those camps from roamers can get a good number of bags.
  10. It's the only camp feeding two yaks to garrison and yaks to the northern towers. The other camps only feed one. Are you *sure* you've been playing this game? Opponents will camp north camp to farm kills because they're using the PPT mindset to generate fights.
  11. Is there video of ele commander? I haven't played during OCX in a long time. Video would also help the OP see if that's the kind of fights they're looking for.

She's really good in commanding pugs. i haven't seen her lose her cool, very patient towards her pugs. if a fight is lost, she makes sure her pugs don't lose morale and gives pointers on how to do better next time, very good on strategizing the movement of the squad from one map to another. well respected on the server. i love playing my firebrand when i am on her squad. Tbh, i prefer to be in her squad rather than to be on other organized squads on discord with their commanders yelling and cursing like it's everyone's fault but him when a fight is lost. > > > > > > PS. I don't get it why people are still commanding on Chronos and demand this and that and when they get focused, they scream like a madman not expecting to get downed on such a class that has very poor cleansing and stability. > > > > Nah, that ele gets farmed and gives the enemy UD. The only bags that ele commander can get are the champ bags hahaha. > > Jealous much? You can't get people to follow your tag? You have to make your guild respectable enough for people to follow you. ;) You misunderstand. Hunk doesn't need people to follow to farm bags.
  14. Check for loose cables to the monitor and that cables are safe from things that might be hitting them. Make sure there's no dust build-up blocking fans and stuff inside the case.
  15. Bandwagoning, server pride, and hard-core v casual discussions have been around since launch. Has nothing to do with server links nor any other changes Anet made. Some of you act like people are going to have the same server meetings every week, the same "train the pugs" initiatives run by the same commanders for over 8 years and never tire of it and move on to other games. It's a game, not a job. Lots of players, both server pride and fight bandwagoners, have left long before server links were even implemented. And how many pugs still need training after 8 years?

That's fair if you don't record everything. Lots of people don't. But no one is just simply going to trust someone's recollection of split-second events. There's a lot of text being generated over something that can't really be discussed objectively without objective evidence. That's why I made the comment about needing a video. Otherwise you guys are just going in circles with your posts. The suggestion to dodge is because binding roots pulses the immobilize, not because no one believes you. That's how one gets out of binding roots. You can cleanse it and it gets re-applied if you don't avoid that re-application somehow.

Same with the meta. Plenty of options for interesting and hard to defeat guild comps but people just default to the ole firebrand scourge scourge plus whatever 'meta'. > > Don't expect them to understand > They won't > It is entirely possible to textmand effectively. I have done it myself and seen others. Make good tactical decisions, have good movement skills, play heal scrapper or something that can hard-carry pugs through raw healing power and type quickly. Really not that hard. But that goes against the norm so everyone will just attack you for challenging their beliefs. Expect the 8 year players who have already been on both sides of this debate and no longer agree to understand though. Already been there and done that. You do you.
