HoT has been nerfed significantly by mounts. Too much so, I wish the pocket raptors would tear you down if you were cocky enough to charge through them.

I guess it’s the COVID bump, but zones do not empty during festivals this year. AB used to be a lot of fun the first week of a festival, as you were lucky to get 5 per gate. These days the Zerg never ends.

This is what I fear is the case, another pointless mount boost masquerading as content.

Ehh the system is built around using LW to encourage occasional players to log in now and then to snag the story, hopefully taking a look in the gem shop. That does not work for old content. It feels like Anet just does not know or care what happens here; it would not be surprising if marketing is siloed away with no one talking to each other. New player entitlement is a given; it matters if this scheme drives them away, whether we vets like it or not.

I agree, I often pass on LS4 metas as I don’t enjoy the swarm of mounts lunging everywhere. Overcrowded metas have always been a player created issue in the game and I really don’t see that being fixable, but mounts really cranked it up.

A key to combat is managing how many mobs you engage at once, keeping aware enough to cc an add, etc. This seems to go all to hell underwater. Otherwise I enjoy it.

It’s a shame these players will still get flooded with advice to boost to 80, get the mounts, join a train for hps, etc. Boom the little progression the game has is gone.

Ehh these rants are pointless . The game is better than most of the stuff out there, but it was an accident. Ante has never shown much interest in fixing what they have ‘squandered’. PVPers won’t get what they are looking for; just enjoy what we have.

It’s not a triple A game, it’s a vehicle to expose eyeballs to the gem shop. The original team made a great game in spite of the business model, so our expectations are too high. Someone realized they were leaving cash on the table.

I am primarily an open world solo player, and consider myself to be pretty mediocre. HoT zones are my favorite; I would enjoy a slightly higher level of difficulty. I can’ t see how Naiasonod is apparently well informed but has trouble with HoT or PoF.

Skyscale hook would be wonderful. Pull those lazy flappers into the chak!

Lol mount skills have been dribbled out long enough. I can see a whole expansion of underwater twaddling on the way.

The soldier trinkets that drop for the Hot weapon collections can be useful for some of the lower stamina builds. There is a lot of options to allow for different play styles.

Be prepared for the forum to descend on you. They like their afk farming round these parts.

Well I think the well is dry regarding progression. Anything significant will be deemed power creep. The movement changes have been pretty clever, but they feel pretty tapped out. A well done set of elite skills can stretch things out for quite a bit, but the clumsy focus on competitive modes will make that hard to implement.

Well the game may suck or not, but streamer boi is not going to be able to tell.
