  1. Although Thief and Necromancer are very good for open-world, I'd avoid them for organized PvE. You can literally make a case for any other class other than these two. Engineer is actually really good because of meme builds, then you can learn holo for raids/fractals. There's almost no place where a guardian can't excel but you need atleast power gear set, and condi one. Gear can be an issue for some players if they're new. Power Chrono can be great for support/tank/DPS but you have to love butterflies.
  2. The new 100 (susquana peak? can't spell this offhand) is not a good fractal in my honest opinion, The others are pretty good though. My issue is the base fractal (non-cm) is a lengthly long fight that gets absolutely annoying and feels un-rewarding. Even in the low levels, I skip doing recs that day when I see it's one of them. The Challenge mote variant is okay, but the boss is literally completely on rails. Every attack is far too predictable, the main 'challenge' is good CC .... Only to be made recently harder when ArenaNet decided to remove ~~all~~ some of the consumables. This shouldn't be the objective of a well-executed fractal.
  3. This is a very difficult question to answer as all power DPS (yes even warrior) do a ton of spike damage, and gradually drop till a phase. Furthermore, things like impact sigil uptime become an issue here, as well as silly boons like swiftness uptime, and physical damage modifiers from mending. You can keep up with most DPS, especially if you only take one mace, and make sure you in Berserk mode the longest time possible for the fight. I suggest you look at Discretize.eu for how to maximize your impact in CMs.
  4. Cairn, MO, Samarog, Escort, KC, Gorseval, River are completely easy for anyone to learn extremely quickly. Just get some decent offensive gear, watch a guide from mighty teapot, and join some pugs. You probably can get away with some WvW gear if you run support. There is no real reason to buy a dhuum kill, you can get any of the boss kills I listed with a little bit of work.
  5. You'll do more DPS on a bad/average mirage than most other options. cFB can work too, but if you can't melee, cBeserker warrior, or cSB maybe better.
  6. > @"weaponwh.9810" said: > thx, ne1 know if holo gunsmith are easy to play? Sword Holo is pretty easy to pick up, Rifle is better for Bursty fights.
  7. Keep in mind this the Lucky noobs video is solo. This is no way you're going to get all the boons/class buffs realistically alone. So if we're talking team content, you're going to get more DPS from ashes of the just, regardless. That video is nothing more then this is how you need to do your rotation and where you should be to get max DPS. Furthermore Condi Firebrand really shines when two criteria are met, a boss that is largely immobile or huge, and ones that can refresh your tome skills on kill. There are better more consistent builds out there when those criteria aren't met.
  8. If you wanna play what's meta check https://discretize.eu/ that's the snow crows of the fractal scene. Some classes have expected roles, but all the info you need is on that site.
