I get why people want to play the "new player card" in these threads, but what is it that anyone doing so is expecting? Is it that they're expecting devs to think "Hey, they're right, those new players don't understand the concept of "this was introduced for free for a limited time" so we need to change our practices"?

No, what they are expecting is that when they buy the Ultimate package for 80€ they don't end up missing almost half the content which, excluding the sales, would require them to pay additional 40€ to unlock.

This is a hidden cost that ANet has continuously refused to clearly disclose to the potential buyers and a limitation that particularly affects new players as a group of people which is bound to not be aware of this issue.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Yes. Unless not. But mostly Yes.

But only if they have a character that hasn't already finished the starter zones (the majority of people probably have) or are willing to buy a whole new character slot just to get those 125 achievement points.

You should have clarified that players which already got all the PoIs and renown hearts won't be able to receive any progression, except for viewing the vistas, which are repatable.

Even the tutorials, like dodging, can't be redone if they have already been finished on a character.

I get it, the achievements are geared towards new players but still, some kind of detailed clarification in advance would have been appreciated.

P.S. Does anyone still remember how to do a proper tutorial in GW2? I don't know, maybe like when a whole new instance for that exact purpose was added to GW1?

It's not helpful if people keep repeating the same thing over and over again even though I said multiple times that I've CHECKED all 35 spots. The fact that I've told you so should be proof enough. I just did my FOURTH check, according to the Reddit map I linked before. I even approached every marker and tried to press F just in case the model doesn't fit the actual state of the totem.

Nothing. It's not me. It's the game. I am dropping the case until the next patch because this is obviously bugged.

I have no idea how to make this more clear. One of the totems simply did not register.

Literally only 3% of people on that list are still streaming GW2 regularly. At least 75% of them have been completely M.I.A. for quite some time.

As I said already said, all 35 totems have their residual markers left which means no totem was missed. It just that one of them didn't register.

The difference between those two and Drakkar is that while the former two are interesting huge map-wide meta events the latter is nothing more than an HP sponge whack-a-mole pinata fest happening within a ten meter radius room (side rooms with bosses excluded).

I still can't believe that this event, that was so hyped prior to the release, is not just some kind of early April Fool's joke.

Combined with the snore fest meta event from the previous release for me personally Bjora marches makes for one of the worst, if not THE worst, release in recent GW2 history.

The question is why should people wait? Especially in Wintersday JP where simply letting someone in front of you means you might end up losing time while waiting for presents to respawn.

The issue is simple. Bigger characters models have a clear advantage over the smaller ones. I've done the JP a couple of thousand times and after all these years it still bothers me to no end to see someone oblivious or on purpose use bigger models just to annoy others.

Normalized models like in sPvP ot the whisps from the Mad King's JP should solve the issue.

    >

    > It's an issue with bad hardware, you won't move until the mount textures are loaded. Wooden pc = you get rooted.

    A rig running i7, RTX2070, 16GB RAM with a 1TB SSD (550MB/s sequential read) is not a "wooden" PC.

  11. I won't go too much into the new template system aside from just saying that the new UI feels unpolished and has a rather poor UX (battling between the right click tab menu and the summary hover messages is a nightmare).

However, given the pretty steep prices for expanding the system would it be possible to reach a compromise between players and ANet and just add an additional equipment slot per character, raising the current number from two to three?

I run a trinity PvE setup on my main ele (D/W Tempest, S/F Weaver, Staff Weaver), which is something probably a lot of other eles run too, so having the number of equipment slots that matches the number of build template slots per character seems like a rather reasonable idea.

I don't mind paying for stuff in the game but 500 gems (almost 200g in ingame currency) for an equipment slot seems just a bit too much for me.
