  1. Ah, the good ol' days when people were playing WvW knowing that their weekly paycheck will consist of only 50-60 Badges of Horror and some blues and greens.

There is some truth to the claims that rewards in WvW are far less than in other game modes but every time they were raised WvW was flooded with people that were there just for rewards and achievements. Besides, most people that actively play WvW do it just to punch each other's faces. Once you focus on that it's the best reward there is.

  2. GW2 doesn't need voice comm for sPvP, at least not one that is integrated into the game. What it needs is some kind of commo rose menu, similar to those implemented in Battlefield games. This way people could quickly communicate by sending simple messages like "I am going far/close/mid", "I need help", "Attack my target" etc. The current visual cues system in GW2 only allow simple communication like sharing targets and pinging icons on the map and I don't think the latter is even used by anyone right now.

  3. There is still a huge issue of the surface "limbo" state where if you are not above or under water you lose all your skills and abilities. People can just get permanently immobilized without a way to defend themselves. Even worse, if players even accidentally go into water during fights (like in WvW) they will immediately not only lose their weapon stacks but also get caught in this limbo state.

The limbo state on the water surface simply needs to go. No way around it.

Also, as others have already mentioned it, the complete lack of any functionality to change underwater skills outside water (even on surface!) is a huge issue.

  4. I'd give (almost) everything for the ability to see who I am playing with in ranked matches before I accept a match. I am honestly sick of having to block so many team-mates which either team or whisp spam and then I have to play with them without any means of communication.

Proposal: allow players to see who they will fight with before they accept or refuse to join. Give some kind of reward for accepting a match (you already did something similar for the ready indicator) but also allow them to refuse a match, lets say three times a day, which will automatically deny them the aforementioned reward every time they refuse to join the proposed match.

If you let the Photon Forge overheat not only are you completely cut off from it until the CD runs off but you also suffer damage which can mean the difference between staying alive and going into downed state. Name one, just one, other build or profession that has at least a similar type of punishment. There is none.

    >

    > You have 3 GM traits that all help to prevent you to overheat either by removing heat built up, extending the amount of heat you can generate or letting you overheat with no consequence. Overheating is a 100% learn to play issue, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve overheated.

There is no Holosmith trait that removes heat build up. Vent exhaust only removes heat on dodge and even then it's just 15% per dodge which is easily filled by any Photon Forge skill so it's not that much useful except for dealing damage and self-heals. ECSU get's Holosmith additional 50% heat storage but you lose access to bonuses from other GM traits and Photon Forge mismanagement is still severely punished. Photonic Blasting Module prevents only initial overheating damage and Photon Forge is still going on full shut down if you let it overheat.

So yes, Holosmith is still the only profession in the game that has severe punishment for mismanaging it's primary mechanic. On top of that even if it's GM traits are good you still can choose only one. If Holosmith gets nerfed without dealing with other professions first he'll just become a free kill.

Windows 10 April update (build 1803)

Glitch happens on every map change except when entering and exiting home instances.

Also initial display of character selection screen after login is much longer than before (approximately ten seconds compared to a couple before).

A team game where ranked mode is designed for ten randomly picked players to fight each other. Yeah, logic.

He wasn't comfortable with his own voice in the initial release with the trailer, but there was a big positive response so he put himself out there to do this longer one. So no, it's not someone who professionally sings doing it, but it's someone who deeply understands what the piece is supposed to sound like.

Yes I know who he is, but being responsible for everything sound-related that comes out of ArenaNet it should have been his responsibility to acknowledge the lack of vocal prowess and simply hire someone else to do it.

Again, I am not complaining about his willingness to comply with a request, just the fact that it was, in my honest opinion, very poorly done. The only reason why someone might have reacted positively to this rendition is because they have nostalgic memories of "Fear not this night". And that's even Soule, not Diemer.

Or the amount of visual clusterf*ck that got added with every expansion. A scourge, holosmith and a firebrand on the same spot and good luck seeing anything aside from your own behind. Actually consider yourself lucky if you even see that. It's not a "learn to play" issue. It's "pray to see".

In fact he sounds so emotionless and lifeless that I can easily imagine him being an undead, singing somewhere in Orr. Intentional or not, can't tell. For me personally Asja's version has no competition to date.

    >

    > That is in part deliberate (and also a slight misinterpretation of what he doing) considering the style it is in homage to. He is trying to twist the original into a darker and creepier style. Which is he pretty much nails. Whilst it doesn't compete with Asja's naturally, they aren't really comparable in that way either.

Intentional or not the vocal performance of the male version, for me personally, is just lacking. For example, when I hear that "fear not this night" at 01:52 my ears start to bleed just how wrong the transitions sound. It's like the author is struggling to decide where to head next but in the process just hits a wall.

On top of that I'd personally use a much deeper voice for a male version of FNTN.

  12. That's not even the worst part of the event. If you get tagged by anything while you are dismounted there is absolutely nothing you can do to reach her and the event will fail. For example, during the last phase, just before the giant, there are at least two dozen skelks which will stealth and keep you in combat state for at least 10-15 seconds which is enough for Jeppa to dust off and get killed by the giant.

  13. I have to agree since I found it's almost incredible that my gold amount didn't increase at all during the entire map and story completion on my first character (currently on my second one). True, there is a way of getting rares from identifying yellow items but I found it strange enough that salvaging those didn't yield that much valuable stuff.

And the sades don't even need coalescences; they heal back to full INSTANTLY if you ever stop damaging them for a second; Even casting your heal is too long.

There are multiple versions of that Elite. One that you are probably aiming at is the one with the rotating hammers causing perma-knockbacks and that one is indeed annoying. However, there are multiple other versions which are far easier to kill.
