It works like normal account bound gear plus the ability to change to any stat set at will and runes/sigils will be dumped into your inventory when replaced rather than vanish into the ether. Oh nice then! Thank you! I'll hold off on the Mistforged version then, don't really need it.

The only thing which the wiki does not explicitly answer is if class ascended collection weapons can be placed in the MF. Which I would assume means they can, but am not sure. It is also possible to exchange Ice Shards from the current Living World Saga 5 into Season 4 materials. Thing to note, there are no easy to get back items from Season 4, so your best bet is to acquire trinkets from season 4 maps and work on getting a back item from a Season 3 map. The "easiest" to get is likely the Back item from the winterberry forst if you have enough characters to run through. Thank you! Must have missed that! :astonished: And thanks for the links, i'll research what i can get and what's best. Maybe i'll go for the WvW backpack while i'm at it who knows. That one only requires time.

But i suppose i can look into it. Where do you recommend the most, like, the easies way to obtain the backpack and trinkets?

In game, people assured me i can change both. And the wiki is not helpful at all, doesn't explain anything really. Now i don't know what to think. It's kind of umm, dumb not to be able to change stats... I know they're "only" ascended and not legendary and i'm not asking to change stats on the fly, but i should be able to craft me some inscriptions and change the stats on all of it (except trinkets, those drop like flies anywhere and are easy to obtain). I spent the better part of the year crafting that spinal blade backpack, and at that time i was using a power build so i chose berserker stats on it. Now i'm condi build and i'm stuck with power with no way to change it to something else except infusing it? How does that make sense? Do i really need to craft another backpack just to pick different stats? And then another backpack if i want a third build? It's easy enough for trinkets but shouldn't the rest of the difficult to obtain stuff have the ability to change stats? Not for free mind you, but still..

I came back after a long break, went to WvW with my mirage... ouch. I'm pretty sad about that. > > It's a pretty crippling blow - one that should have never happened. Most of the time in WvW now i feel like i need to play Rachmaninoff on the piano just to get by, while other clases use literally 1 skill for 10k damage and apply a whole cancer worth of conditions boons and condition clense at the same time. How is that fair? And yeah i'm exaggerating a bit but honestly - just a bit, it's literally like that. I mean, i get by, but come on, stop nerfing Mesmers. If you don't know what to do with us, then balance other classes. They instead buff other classes while nerfing Mesmers and then do double damage to Mesmers in the process. It's so frustrating to me that every time Mesmer is good at something Anet swoops in and says "no no no no", then just stomps on it while other classes laugh and go "yay, we complained enough again and Anet saved us, we don't have to learn our classes now woohoo!"... > @"Yoci.2481" said: > Power Mirage can be made to work in WvW with Deceptive Evasion, Blurred Inscriptions and Desert Distortion. It has decent damage, AoE too thanks to the laz0r beamz, a bit of healing and condi cleanse and great mobility. But it is also rather one dimensional based around spamming invuls and picking up mirrors. Vallun has a build guide on Youtube. I enjoy playing it for a while and it's really good for roaming, but the fights feel a bit boring and not very interactive. I don't like power honestly, and both options should be equally viable, as well as support focused for all classes. But this kind of destroyed power builds didn't it? I don't see many of those around.
  8. I'd like that just because i want some more love for WvW players. But i honestly don't know how that would work, how would you get expansion and non expansion people on one battlefield? Would you divide them? Would the non expansion people be crippled by not having the expansion stuff? If so that's pay to win, and that's going to ruin it for everybody. So in general - meh... PvP and WvW content shouldn't really be paid for (although in some way it is - you cant't get HoT recipes in WvW if you don't own HoT i think, someone correct me if i'm wrong).

Trailblazer deals more damage than dire, when (!) the condition (be it a stack or not) is not cleansed. Since the feb25 patch trailblazer works overall better than dire to my experience, because the base duration of a lot of conditions has become pretty low. That explains a lot actually, thank you! > @"jpsssss.7530" said: > Condi still works. As an FYI, you pretty much just lose to most Elementalist builds in 1v1 as condi mirage. They can chain cleanses very easily. Yeah, i remember Elementalists from before too lol. They really suck to fight against as a Mirage. > @"SpellOfIniquity.1780" said: > Mix Dire and Trailblazer until you have 80 - 100% duration on the Condition you apply most/your most valuable Condition. > > If for example that's Confusion, use Trailblazer until you have 80 - 100% duration on it then start mixing in Dire. That way you can maximize the duration/damage of your most valuable Condition while also giving other Conditions more damage despite sacrificing their duration. > > Another example would be this; I use Balthazar runes + Smoldering Sigil and enough Trailblazer to get 100% Burn Duration on condi Engi. I can then mix in a Dire Amulet and 2 Rings because any more Trailblazer and I'm overcapping my Burn Duration. Although other Conditions like Bleed, Poison, etc. will not be overcapped, I'm more concerned with using them as cover Conditions to bury Burns on people while said cover Conditions are also dealing more damage per-tick. If they're cleansed early on that's okay because they'll hit harder while my Burns will last longer. That's interesting, yeah! And you're right, anything more than 100% wouldn't get much benefit. I'll have to check how much duration i have when i play. Thanks for the tip!

Then you could use the exotic inscription to stat swap your ascended staff (of whatever stats) to trailblazer's in the mystic forge. And the WvW version is substantially less than the ascended recipe too. Ah right! I can stat swap things. Forgot lol. Yeah, that could work, but since i'm already in WvW track, i just need to level up my rank a bit and i'll get it. I'm in no hurry anyway, i got most of my gear already set up, the staff can wait a bit longer.
  11. > @"Ayrilana.1396" said: > I’d stick with the WvW route then. If you, or anyone else, were to farm TD for the crystals then the optimal way would be to join a map instance which has already completed the four metas. The events that spawn after them until the Gerent meta provide a lot of crystals. I used to get 1K per cycle when I farmed the HoT maps. Thanks! Yeah, since I'm doing WvW already no sense on doing that map. I'll get it eventually on WvW just by playing.

Condition mirage's only real hard-counter was thief. As long as he didn't miss his steal it was almost impossible to lose to cmirage. It would've been nice if they could've brought cmirage in line without removing power mirage from the game. > > > > Well maybe, but i question the nerf by having it be the removal of the core gameplay element that we spent years taking for granted. Think about it, the entire game is balanced around having enough stamina to dodge twice. Larger AOEs especially are that large because everyone has 2 dodges to get out of them. That's how they were designed to begin with, and now all of a sudden Mirages can't do what everyone takes for granted. And i mean, sure, Mesmers in general have other ways to get out of that situation like Blink, Phase Retreat, Jaunt... But dodge on a Mirage works for using alternate skill 1 as well. Now, not only can you not dodge like others can, but they removed entirely the point of the class (and no, mirrors aren't consistent or a good replacement, mirrors were like a backup dodge). It would have been nice to have balanced the class without removing the core mechanic of the game that was engrained into players from the beginning. Especially since you still have 2 dodges in PvE. It's a very jarring discrepancy. The game is teaching you for 80 levels to work with 2 dodges. And someone then wants to go to WvW and whoa... And as you said. This apparently killed the power mirage as well. So, all in all, not a good balance. Besides... Mirages weren't unkillable, even in 1v1 if people knew what they were doing.
  13. > @"GewRoo.4172" said: > Trailblazers is absolutely fine. Argument about cleanse depends on match up, there are more than enough viable builds which have limited access to cleansing (and you have several options of applying conditions with your meta condi mirage build). Increasing condition duration is always a. good pick imo. Alternatively you can try full dire or even carrion or mix it all up depending on your prefered style of play. Cool! Thanks! So basically, i just have to get some more Dire or Trailblazer trinkets (i think i have one or two power ones from previous build stil on), and i'm set! My mirage is not exactly meta build, it's simmilar, but idk, it works for me so it's fine i guess.
