  1. Probably the wedding march because my female asura runs around in a pink and white wedding dress and it's a game in my guild that if I stand next to someone and another guildie takes a picture of us, that someone becomes my new husband. It has lead to some amusing adventures of me chasing a guildie in circles yelling "MARRY ME!"

I am currently at 5 husbands and always hunting more.

  2. People are forgetting that this is a festival event, so it isn't like raids. Festivals are meant to be fun and easygoing. They are specifically designed so that any player, new or old, can do it. That's why Ascent to Madness is set to such a low level. Raids are hardcore endgame content, it is unfair to compare the two.

Should everything in the game be easily available to everyone? No. That would devalue other people's time and hard work.

Should festival rewards be balanced to be easier to achieve then end-game content? Yes, that is the nature of festivals.

PvP is also an unfair comparison, because PvP at least gives rewards for showing up. It may not be the same rewards as winning every match but I could throw in hours of PvP time and still have something to show for it. Whereas I could, and probably have, thrown in hours of Clocktower time and gotten absolutely nothing.

However, Anet did provide a way to get the boots without the JP. If you look up guides you can get to 400 in any crafting profession with minimal gold. Whether this was intended as a way to help people who struggle with JPs or not, it does help people who struggle with JPs.

Would it really hurt to give a no-ap, no-title pity prize to people who donated hours to the JP to try and complete it but just don't have the skill or physical ability? No.

It would not really harm anyone. And maybe the pity prize could only have a chance of getting the boots. That way people can either overcome the JP, craft the boots, or grind away hours of the their life for a chance at it.

That being said, I am only trying to offer helpful and friendly discussion on the topic. My personal feelings is the pity prize is unnecessary for this festival.

  3. Maybe add a title to actually completing the jumping puzzle if there isn't one already. That way people who have done it will have their special reward that no one else can get as well as ap. Then there can be a pity chest with a chance at the boots box for every x-number of tries that also doesn't come with any ap.

10? no, normally like 20-30 people who don't belong in the squad, are in a totally different map trying to do a totally different event.

    > The problem with this line of thinking is that, eventually, everything gets justified as being important, and must in the forefront for "availability" purposes. The bigger problem is the "Friends" menu needs to relabeled and tweaked into "Social" menu, containing all messaging, grouping, friend list and (arguably) the Guild interface. That way the only "hurdle" is a person's ability to associate the term "social" with certain in-game concepts, and thus should know where to look for it.

    >

    > Honestly the menu systems are in need of a layout overhaul, as the disparate pathways of finding sub-menus is a bigger contributor to the difficulty then having a 2 Tier menu depth.

It isn't even the "friends" menu. It is "Contacts and LFG"

    > I agree, it's not exactly buried or hidden, but having to click the "social" button, then be presented with a friends list, then click the LFG tab, and *then* click the content you want for 10 times or more a day is tiring and tedious. If the social button would park at LFG that would already be a huge improvement. I mean, who looks at their friends list that much anway? That's what guilds are for.

    >

    > So if anything, having the LFG tool have it's own button would just be a bit less tedious.

    >

    > But those are such minor complaints really that it's not worth discussing in depth i think...

I actually use my friends list all the time xD My main guild is teetering on member cap, so using my friends list is a much easier way to keep track of people and see who is online and what content they might be doing.

If you hover over it it says it is "contacts and lfg" I didn't have to open it to see what was under all the tabs. It really isn't hidden or buried.

  8. The annoying part is his flavour text says nothing about him healing. And anyone using a knockback skill at the wrong time (like, say, trying to break his break bar) ruins anyone's chance at knocking him back at the right time because that internal knock-back timer. Anet needs to take a look at this fight because there shouldn't be fights that it is so easy for one person doing something wrong to ruin the fight for everyone.

    >

    > I guess I'll go back and replay the mission, this time being the one in the lead with my son's assistance and see if that trips the rewards for me.

Wait there is even MORE things that I might have missed? I'm going to have to track down all the story rewards and see which ones I missed.
