Regardless of how much of a grinder you may be, you'll be pleasantly surprised how much there is to do.
  2. Fix mesmer. I dont care how, if its with new elite or fixed old ones...but fix em. I want new legendary gear. I want gear so bright and flashy, that unless you have a top of the line GPU--your FPS will drop to unplayable. Id like all Human/Norn/Sylvari character models to match the craptastic clipping and FOV that us Asura and Char have to deal with in fashion wars. Id like female Asura & Char models to have 'revealing and provokative' looking clothes like human females get.
  3. Denied. I want any and all able time/resources spent on xpac/balance/etc.

What a kitten show pvp has become. From AFK/Text warriors/Bots/Match throwers/Balance issues--there isnt anything there worth dealing with it. Sticking with PvE until EOD+ > > OR, you can do what I did and try out WvW. The game mode where you can actually do stuff solo and you are not glued to other 4 random players and forced to be better than the other 5 people. Or if you are in a group there is an actual way to communicate with them (usually discord/ts) if you don't want to talk - don't. Just follow what the commander tells you. Basically, there is a lot more freedom AND it's less stressful. > > Sincerely yours, player who got tired of pvp, tried fractals, got to T4 thinking it will become more interesting, got bored and is now enjoying WvW. I've done WvW off and on, anytime I needed a GOB or Warclaw, I completed the track. The last time I was in WvW, was to aquire the new Legendary item. I did enjoy WvW for a time (BlackGate NA), but I got burned from it because of: 1. I love to solo, and was finding it difficult to do so. People rarely solo'ed and LOTS of other solo's jumped in OR the zerg stream rolled us. 2. It seemed that when I joined a zerg, most of the times, the leaders (our and theirs) just wanted to flip camps, and not engage in fights. 3. Countless times in the zerg, you could here in discord how people had alts and would 'cheat' with opposing sides via other com channels. 4. I like small havoc groups, but either do to when I was able to log on--it seems I could never find a group.
  5. Lots has changed, as with any MMO given time. To answer your questions. Yes, reapers are accepted by most groups. Alacrity renegade is the MOST requested class for Fractals. This is due to ANET gutting the hell outta Chronos (All mesmer builds in general). Chrono is still playable, but the 'clunkiness' and piano playing of buttons to get the same, EASY, effect that Rev's get--not remotely comparable. Guardian is the most versitle class with near top/top tier when it comes to everything (except Alacrity). Healbrand, Quickbrand, PowerBrand, Condibrand, Core Pdps--I have one, and this class (unless it gets outshined with new elites come End of Dragons) is worthy of Legendary Armor/etc--it does it all, and does it very well. Sadly, to the detriment of other classes I enjoy playing that are not META. Thief, with very recent nerfs to SB 5 skill (which was the one true skill that defined the perfect roamer) I hear (have not tested it yet as PvP is a trashheap to the 100th power) is not in a great spot. But thats just grapevine chatter on forums and map chat--you gotta test it out yourself. PvE wise for group content, they are middle of the road. Their dps is not top tier, and gets shunned in CM fractals (I have much 1st hand experience). Cant answer about their condi share, I only slot a full bar of condis, when I prebuff at mistlock for inital burst on bosses in CM.
  6. I've played PvP for many years--thru good and bad METAs. I have played 7 matches this year alone (placement), and it was enough for me take up PvE full time. What a sh*t show pvp has become. From AFK/Text warriors/Bots/Match throwers/Balance issues--there isnt anything there worth dealing with it. Sticking with PvE until EOD+
  7. Due to real life, my time is limited, so I use what is alotted to what I enjoy most. Daily CM Fractals + T's. I usually will have enough time to do something else and DRM are not one of em. They are 3 recycles instances that are really boring--which I could get past, if they rewards were worth the tedious nature of em--sadly, they are not.
  8. Guardian. Heals & Buffs (except ALC) Power DPS Condi DPS And all 3 are top tier--without questoin.
  9. I was getting tired of being excluded (asked if I had another class) or just outright kicked from groups after joining CM Fractals. I've mained Mesmer & Thief for years--and I play them well. They do have their limitations, and by no means, top tier to a competent META counter part, however, they get the job done. While attempting to get the Fractal titles, and bypass the BS pug groups I've join/created. I made a HB this week. No questions from group members. No complaints about Thief/Mesmer dps not being up to par, with Guardians/SlB/Warriors/Halos. No complains of Teef being dps greedy and not contributing buffs (however, no praise for CC bars being insta gone and no need for other members to slot CC utilities). Now, do I enjoy the playstyle of the guardian? The anwer is no. Their skills and flow of both memer and thief are unmatched. Subjectively, they are way more fun to play.
  10. Mystic Coins = Anet version of Bitcoin. Always needed at some point in your gaming, unless your super casual about GW2. Always hold/increase in value.

I was getting really good and accumulated over 100KP in fractals, well on my way to Fractal Prodigy. > > Unfortunately Sunqua Peak has ruined this completely for me, to the extent that I now no longer want to play fractals. This boss requires condi DPS, and at best the condi berserker's DPS absolutely SUCKS. I have tried and tried and tried, and I can't do this fractal. No matter what. So it's either learn to play some new character from scratch or quit fractals altogether. Nowadays it's impossible to find a decent group for the other fractals, since most parties start including 100CM. I just can't do this fractal. > > Thank you, A-Net, for ruining my favourite part of the game. My 2 main classes that I love are my Mirage & Teef. I play them well, and can complete all CM's, but if I had to be honest with myself, Mirage is only good for CM100 and Teef is 98/99 + T4s. I view my ARCdps every fight for both classes and I only ever make top dps with either class in poor dps PUG groups. Now thats all fine and dandy--I dont care about speed runs; the problem arises when (instead of me creating the group) I join random PUGs. I cant tell you how many times I have joined a 98/99 on my thief, only to be immediately kicked out of the group. All the group said in the description is PDPS. I've actually whispered the group leader and said this, and their responses are, "you should know thief is not META and is greedy (ie no group support besides some BS skips)." My mirage, no matter the build cannot compete with condi FB. So, instead of dealing with the salt from others, just create the groups right?? Wrong. What I've seen, numerous times is even as the leader, ppl b*tching about the dps being too low (even though no deaths occured), and dropping group. I'm not taking about some under 10k dps, but ppl wanting golem-style dps numbers always--for PUG's! Its like these speed clearing players are guildlessand just berating PUGs to be at their caliber. To get an idea of the numbers these, what I call, professional fractal speed clear ppl can do--I created a group for CM on my mirage the other day--a SlB & FB/DH joined. They were doing 50-75k on numerous bosses--phasing was so fast, I thought it was hacking, lol! My point, I geared out my HB the other day, watched some videos and read some forums on how to play it. Now I join/create groups--no questions asked, no critques given (so long as might stays capped, stability when needed and heals). If pDH or cFB are this fun, Ill make a set of gear for that. It does not feel right, as I LOVE my mirage and teef, but in going for the fractal titles and some days, I just cant stand defending my toons, and their off META skills. Ill reserve their playtime for Open World events--maybe EOD xpact will breath new life into this META.
  12. When I see a dungeon search and it says, "All Paths 1,2,3-" its a speed run. Or a fractal that says, "CM + T4s need " speed run. I've been in this game since near the beginning and done/have everything. I find myself logging in to do old Core content (especially dungeons as a HB) for groups that are doing "Story" or asking for "help with XX," because I enjoy helping others that are near new to this game--everything to them is exciting and getting stuff like a random yellow/exotic item (which we all would trash) is an upgrade and they get joy from it. I let them choose the path and they kill the mobs--I just heal and buff and chat.

Cause everyone just cries all the time if Mesmers get even scraps of something good, and then anet nerfs Mesmers just to shut all those people up. > > They love their thieves though. Permastealth, permaeveade, yet Mirage lost one dodge because it was "too hard to balance how evasive Mirage was"... > I mean, really? > > I swear, playing Mesmer feels like a punishment that i didn't deserve. Yep. Mesmer is my main--I love the 'theme' I created, the playstyle and the uniquness (clones) of the class. I play it, even though it is not META--because it is fun. My mirage, may never again be wanted in most content--until MAYBE after the xpac. Nothing positive/negative will happen to this class until then. All of Anets focus is on the xpac
  14. > @"Jugglemonkey.8741" said: > There's an expac coming. That means everything that isn't part of the expac (by which I mean part of the stuff they want you to spend money on) is going to get nerfed repeatedly until the expac drops. It's happened every time, just part of the cycle at this point. Exactly what I've been saying. It will bring back skills/traits/utilities & dps/healing/etc that it nerfed--but now buffed, to give you a sense of 'new.'
  15. thats why i always get a kick outta ppl that complain in the pvp forums about their class getting nerfs--they have no idea
