    For PVE 100%. I really enjoy it and i used to pvp only. Plus there is an expansion in the making for next year.

     

    For PVP ? No. Absolutely not. Sadly Anet neglected the pvp for too long and still does despite saying otherwise. Cant even step up and communicate with their playerbase.

     

  2. Not sure if this is the right place but...

     

    Went back to play Mesmer and decided to complete my PoF maps. The lag is so intense that it's pretty much unplayable - and for no obivous reason. These maps are probably the least crowded in the entire game. I suggest you start fixing this before you hit Steam so new players actually sticks around.

     

    Also, communicating with your players is a thing.

  3. I'd like new Elite specs, however...

     

    What i really really want is, them making maps with awesome metas thats tied to new legendaries and other good stuff. This way i have a reason for returning and farming. I absolutely loved PoF maps, way more than HoT, but there are just no reason for me to go back to them, unless i want to reroll a char. So repeatable content is number one.

  4. Excellent idea.

     

    I've seen a couple state that if you have a single armor set, every class can now use it. If thats true, it's probably the only thing i would change. If you have a legendary "heavy armor"-set, only Warrior, Guard and Rev should be able to use it. (Weapons should be free for all ofc)

     

    This way you'll keep more "content" for people that rolls new characters and people who already have multiple sets wont be hit as hard.

    I wasnt running any thoughness on my DH - which was kind of the point as i found damage numbers vs none-toughenss-DH and high-toughness-scourge to be pretty much the same. Which is why i came to the forum to ask about how toughness works - or if it did work ;)

    Some people only read what they want to read. I litterally stated that this wasnt about Warrior but more about how toughness works.

     

    Also, why would my Marauder-DH have 2271 toughness with marauder stats? Didnt state that at all. It had Marauder, so not a single toughness bonus. And i went from zero toughness to ALOT (2434) and it didnt look like i changed anything on the numbers. THAT was my point and the reason i was asking about how it works.

  7. I am in no way trying to say Toughness should reduce all damage and im not trying to facetank either. What made we wonder was the scenario, that on a character without a single point into toughness (my guard), numbers showed aprox the same.

     

    But i guess i got my answer - "this is normal" :)

    So, for a couple of weeks i was trying out DH with Marauder stats and got hit rather hard by zerker builds. I then swapped back to my main (scourge) and decided to tryout a "large amount of toughess"- build. I'm just using exotics atm, but I got 2434 Toughness (3354 Armor) and yet, I still get hit just as hard for certain abilities ? A heavy Armor class have better base resistance, but I still think the damage is insanely high vs such defensive stats:

    Got me wondering if Toughness is working as intended atm ? - or is this "normal" ? If thats normal, i cannot imagine how much damage it would have been with vitality only. Also, i'm not a "math guy" so i havent looked up any formulas :)

    This damage is inflicted withing 1-2 seconds. Condis doesnt event come close and at some point people will realize this - if they havent already. Its insta- damage that cant be cleansed. Plz show me where condis does this better :)

    Burning might be abit over the top but this is dumb asf tbh.

  10. Only condition thats overperforming is Burning and that might be adjusted by reducing the amount of stacks from certain weapons/abilities. Outside that, im almost inclined to say that the rest of condis are horseshit.

    When i check the damage-log in wvw it is NOT condi that kills me, but 10k spinal shivers. 2k auto attacks. 7k meteor ticks. 3-4k well of suffering and the likes. All your condis - or alot - will get neutralized while you often need to facetank the raw power. Now, im not saying power is OP but certain abilities might need to be looked at.

    Atm im taking a break from my power-DH and giving Burn-DH a shot. Cant really settle on what weapons i need. Feel like they are all scuffed in larger fights except for Torch. so far ive used Scepter/torch/LB - the bow is more for utility, rooting ppl and then throwing sword of justice at them or whatever. What do ppl prefer and why ?

     

    Also, what gear do you recommend for a Burn-DH ? So far i've just used Carrion with Smoldering sigils and it's been decent so far.

     

    My bad, forgot to mention gamemode. We`re talking WvW.

     

  12. For wvw i'll say "Burning.

     

    It feels like its the only damage condition that actually does work and thats a big problem. If they buff the other condis like Bleeding, condi will be OP. If they nerf Burning, condi will be dogsh1t. And i alrready think pure condi builds are bad depsite what this forum says.

  13. Let me tell you about frustration. Being on the server-side that constantly gets shit on. When you ask for advice in map-chat, people troll answer because why help eachother in this gamemode that already has tons of players?, kappa. The cherry on top is people at base afk-running into a wall for free rewards. Although it shouldnt be an advantage getting outnumbered, i´d like better compensation tbh.

  14. It might feel strong but it's not. At tops it's mediocre in SPVP. Still too easy to focus/lock down and it struggles doing reliable damage. Only thing that have changed is you die slower but youre CC'ed forever.

     

    I still love playing it though and i`ll be testing a hybrid build this weekend - hoepfully :)
