    > Going with Togo or any other generic GW1 characters would be the most disappointing thing ever. The Guild Wars lore is full of interesting people, and it's been 250 years since GW1, so there's dozens of new stories to be written, no need to rely so much on nostalgia.

Yeah, why should we get a well known and liked character when we can get someone unknown just so you can get some of your borderline fan-fiction specializations.

That was way before the Revenant was introduced into the game. And in-game lore > books.

  2. That concept art of Echovald has me a little scared, I understand that the times has passes and it's suppose to be more "alive" than last we saw it, but I really wish it to still be a gloomy zone. It can have vegetation and be a dark forest at the same time, from those two pieces of art it just looks like part of Maguuma Jungle.

  3. I feel like we're already a clown class when it comes to aesthetics. Revenant color scheme is: red, black, and misty white and yet each legend has it's own colour that is present in the energy bar, skill icons, unique animation behind skill bar and the hand glow. This is more than enough and if it were up to me only the energy bar would switch color to show what you're channeling and the rest would be in our color scheme.

I'm also not the biggest fan of giving a class starved for skills a weapon that would only give 3 compared to 5. The only way I can see scepter working is if they introduce legend-specific effects on a scepter mainhand skills and retroactively apply that to offhands, since we only have 2 offhand weapons.

I'd say hammer is the weapon that defines soldiers. Greatsword on the other hand we see on two scholar professions and one adventurer, so if anyone it's either Thief or Engineer that should get it. And it's popular among all the professions that don't have it, should they just give it to everyone? I don't think so.

So the solution to our heavy melee playstyle is to push us into it even more? Makes sense.

I find is funny how everyone bought into that one forum users fan fiction and are now using it as a fact to prove why Ritualist has no connection to Revenant.

They only confirmed that a new fractal in coming on September 15th.

I will never understand when there is SO MUCH unique and rich lore and characters out there WHY people need to force this class to become the ritualist. Please shove it on something,, anything else and let us get a unique legend thats not just freak'n togo.

    >

    > Whatever, give me my bunny thumper and Ill hop to ranger. Like for real~ Im over caring about the lore/theme of this class with how its players think.

People don't force anything, Rev is reimagined Rit thematically and it's quite obvious. Engineer got the gameplay and Rev the theme. You may not like it but that's how it is and you're welcome to swap professions as Rev is not a Twilight wielding brooding edgelord you want it to be. Renegade did get spirits, but if you bothered to read my first post you'd know that I'd like the next one (whether they call it Ritualist or not) to draw inspiration from Channeling magic and spice up our bruiser-ish gameplay.

This. It's going full circle for Revenant. But if they decide to not go for the Ritualist name, we at least have to learn from them.

    >

    > Ritualists in Cantha were powerful mages which were communing with the mists long before the revenants actively travelled the mists. This class has been an inspiration for the revenant class in the first place, up to the point that they even made revenants blindfold themselves in the game, just like ritualists already did traditionally, since they thought that blindfolding will help them look into the mists instead of their own reality.

    >

    > So it could very well be that our revenant friends are going to Cantha and learn some new tricks from the ancient traditions of the ritualists there, making ritualist their new elite spec.

    > Cantha also provides some legendary ritualists for revenants to summon.

This. Ritualist for Revenant (or at least heavily Rit inspired) specialization that focuses on Channeling Magic. It's just a perfect fit with Revenant being thematically heavily inspired by the Ritualist in the first place.

It's not 62% of the community, just forum users. And we don't know if they even play Revenant.
