Has anyone given any thought to the possibility that these "too small" instances already have plenty of people going at it alone in them when you're trying to get your 50-man squad there?

You don't need to do it for the backpack. You can just craft the boots instead. Recipes sold by the Lunatic Alchemist.

So every tile of the floor of a maze is labyrinthine? Lamps installed to illuminate a maze are labyrinthine? My uncle used to have a little hedge maze in his garden. Was he labyrinthine at the time? Obviously, the way you use "relating to" isn't the intended way. It's meant in the sense that something relates to the concept of a labyrinth, not a specific one.
-
That's not what "labyrinthine" means.

I have this issue, and also with text in merchant windows. The option toggle has no effect for me either.

It's no crazier than the name ANet gave it. What's labyrinthine about it?

I got the "unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time" pop-up window right in the middle of doing the clock tower. That attempt failed. :/

Worst case scenario, you can craft another one. If you don't have at least 1 leveled armor craft, it's a very bad worse case scenario unfortunately.

PoF has crates you can buy for a combination of karma and trade contracts.
* Hamaseen for tier 1 & 2 materials
* Cowrie League for tier 3 & 4 materials
* House of Daoud for tier 5 & 6 materials
All heart merchants sell crates of a single one of those categories. You can pick metal, cloth, leather, wood and trophy crates. I'm not sure if they're offering good deals, I haven't bought any myself yet because I'm not in an urgent need of materials at the moment.

The rest I can't see any reason to worry about since as soon as I open another pile of bags, boof, there is the exact same stuff again. Once event is over, that's when it will be time to reclaim all that space in my bags.

The temporary "inventory tax" gets worse every year though. I just counted 28 slots occupied by stackable Halloween bag drops. That's not counting the bags themselves, candy corn and the rare stuff.

10? I'm going to get 35 out of it before Halloween is done.

Pretty sure very few people use the core glider by percentage.

I certainly won't buy it, but the unless they're fast, I won't get the next one either because I feel another extended break coming up. I'd rather have basic stuff sooner than weird stuff I don't want. It might even help keeping me around longer.

Great for new players, and even old ones like myself for whom it has been so long ago, it feels like fresh new content.
-
It isn't awarded when you only attack him while gliding. I don't know if that was the case here, but if it was, that's easy to work around.

Really? I had to buy an expansion for them.

I hope they add some good general purpose mount skins with multiple dye channels. Silly gimmicky seasonal skins I'll be bored with after a few weeks are a no sale.

More like 1% of the time if you have Jackal mastery 4 and use your mount's movement abilities correctly. Raptor jumps through practically anything because of the evasion, and skimmer can evade so often, long and easily, it's bordering on the ridiculous. Griffon is bad against ranged attacks if you're flying too low, and springer isn't great against anything, but who uses that to cover distance?

Something terribly counterproductive happened to the effects overload with PoF: bosses have started contributing to it as much as players. It's a sad state of affairs that I can often only see what kind of creature I'm fighting by looking at its portrait when I have it targeted.
-
The whole event chain just plain sucks. It's horrible. The environment is annoying, the action up to the final 2 bosses is boring as hell. The regrouped zealots don't even fight back. It's just an uninspired CC+DPS check.
The final 2 bosses are a total disaster. The effect graphics are insane. Usually in boss fights, it's just the players making a mess, but here, the bosses contribute as well, and they contribute big time. Whatever special attack kept making me small and lose 90% of my damage output, I couldn't tell. It happened every time I moved from ranged into melee as the Forgotten's immunity changed. I had and still have no idea how to avoid that, because I couldn't see a thing. It probably didn't help that the hydra was on top of the forgotten for almost the entire fight. I couldn't even see the forgotten. Try and split them up? With 2 almost full squads of people on them? I don't think so.
There was no joy after we won, just a desire to log off and be done with the game for a while.

No, but options that are "traps" cause frustration and that's something you'd want to avoid in a game.

I got my gloves, done with this forever, I hope. I'm not doing this again until they introduce another guaranteed exclusive drop that I want. They can increase the general rewards tenfold, a hundredfold, and I'm still not doing it. This is the most annoying, unfun activity I've yet come across in the entire game.

Thank you for that amazing insight. How about this one: "This game is optional, not required to experience life." I hope that helps.
Dear Anet, I love Halloween.. But.

I don't think it's a twitch skill challenge at all. It's muscle memory. Twitch, to me, means reacting extremely fast and accurately to unpredictable circumstances. Maybe my definition is wrong though. The puzzle is wholly predictable, the same every run (desynch bugs and lag excluded of course). It's just a matter of getting a little farther each time and remembering what you did to get there. The wait can certainly be an annoyance. Especially if you're in with people going all the way.
This year, my first run was an immediate success. I guess I'm blessed with good muscle memory. When it comes to twitch, I suck, definitely.
