AmagicalFishy.6935
Hi. I've just recently come back to the game (after ~5 - 6 years of not playing). Quick question: I remember Lightning Flash used to be a blast to get to weird places (Elementalist teleportation skill). Now whenever I use it I get "No valid path to target" (even if there is, apparently, a valid path). Is this a recognized bug, or can we only teleport on flat ground now? Inculpatus cedo.9234
Here is some information on that skill: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lightning_Flash#Notes _This skill's "teleport" is mechanically identical to a ground-targeted Shadowstep. Because of this, it is highly subjective to the terrain between the user and the target destination, and it will only work to instantly move to anywhere the user could easily reach by merely walking there without jumping._
LowestTruth.2635
It was changed in March of 2015. "This skill will no longer activate if a valid path to the target point cannot be found, except when acting as a stun break."
Khisanth.2948
It doesn't just rely on being able to walk from point A to point B without jumping. It depends on the navmesh(navmesh is also required for proper pathing for NPCs to walk around, incomplete/incorrect navmeshes in some areas are probably responsible for some of the stalling bugs in game where NPCs can end up in a place they don't know how to get back) to have a path between the two points. AmagicalFishy.6935
bummer. one of the most fun things about that skill was teleporting to weird places
