Skyscale skins

New to the forum. Just wondering if anyone knows how often skyscale skins come up in the gem store. Can’t see anything recently...

Hi. There is no pattern to when items are released in the gem store. Only Anet knows when specific things will return. Thanks. I don’t often check the gem store (and I wouldn’t look for a skin for a mount I don’t own, so haven’t noticed when the last time a skyscale skin was on offer). I was wondering if anyone had noticed a pattern in terms of skyscale skins being offered - does it seem to be every few months? Just hoping I don’t have to get around on a default skin for too much longer!

Sorry, ignore me. It seems that skyscale skins are, indeed, available in some of the skin packs. Just a case of selecting the right one!

To expand on it. Not having patterns is a marketing strategy to push people into buying because they can't know when they'll get an other chance at buying it again.

This is one of the ways GW2 is weird. Very few mount skins are sold directly in the gem store, instead they sell 'adoption licences' which give you a random skin from a selection of about 15, or 'select licences' which are more expensive but let you choose a specific skin.

 

There's a few different licences with different selections of skins which cycle in and out of the store, and new ones are added periodically.
