No, you can't. You can, however, achieve ranks in your GW1 Hall of Monuments for which you receive rewards in GW2:

Even though gw1 and gw2 are connected, they are _not_ considered to be the same game.

 

Any transaction which involves out-of-game payment, even if it does not involve money, is not allowed. A transaction in which an item or help in gw1 is traded for an item or help in gw2 is in fact two transactions (one in gw1, one in gw2) that both involve out-of-game payment.
