darksome.1697
Since the latest patch, I never ever get a second strike on a node with the Glyph of Bounty (33% Chance to get an extra strike). What I mean is, the node I am harvesting is completed in one single go, every single time. Before the patch, if the Glyph of Bounty "procced" and granted the extra chance, I could harvest the node again. Now I have no way of knowing if I am getting that extra strike or not since it completes the node at once, if it still works that is?
darksome.1697
I know they changed it a long while ago, but until the absolute latest patch yesterday (9-Jun-2020), I would get to "double-tap" on harvesting nodes with my Sickle, which has the Glyph of Bounty on it when it procced. Meaning, *until the patch yesterday*, I would get to harvest a node multiple times (press f again and do the whole harvest animation again) multiple times with my sickle when it procced. After the patch, that doesn't happen anymore.
darksome.1697
> @"Jayden Reese.9542" said: > Ok, they then changed it again. I logged in and did the flax farm. 8 nodes 6 times gathered 2 off one pull. So learned nothing. Went to that 16 spot garden upper left side drizzlewood. On 2 pulls I gather 3 times off one swing so yeah now if you get a proc off a proc no extra gather it's all in one swing. Took me all of 5 minutes to test so maybe you can even get 4 as 3 extra swings was max back before the 1st change Yes, exactly that. It's possibly a QoL change, but it also makes it harder to actually know if it procs and how many times. As you say, you really need to pay attention to the loot on the right side of the screen now. I find it odd that they're not mentioning this change in the patch notes.
Khisanth.2948
> @"Jayden Reese.9542" said: > And I just saw your no way of knowing. The right side shows the loot so if you really need to know gather 1 at a time and let the loot fall off the right side before the next. You also can watch the exp over your head per gather as you will get 800 2 times or three times which was tougher to notice w the overlap or see it from the inventory log Unless they changed the actual proc rate the previous changes should have no impact on the actual amount gathered. In order to gather twice after the change it would have to proc twice but there is only a ~11% chance for that Edit: Looks like changed it to be able to gather at least 3 times(instead of 2) in a single press of F !(https://i.imgur.com/gjM00Oo.jpg) All three of those gathers is just from pressing F once on the mussel node. Edit 2: Actually looks like it can just gather as many procs as you can get. Khisanth.2948
Unfortunately the change still doesn't allow you to make use of the extra gathers from the last node in a node patch which is mainly relevant for Winterberry bushes since each pair is a node patch of two nodes. > @"Jayden Reese.9542" said: > Nice, my log is messed up ever since I accidentally hit x years ago and never could recreate the original so I don't see that info so yeah that is another place to check You just need a tab with these settings. !(https://i.imgur.com/wDZTpU1.png) !(https://i.imgur.com/3zjrpmv.png) Enabling combat and leaving everything in the subpanel empty gives you the exp messages and Inventory messages gives you the messages about items obtained. Hannelore.8153
This has nothing to do with Glyph of Bounty it seems. They changed the entire system game-wide, for example Guild Hall nodes that you had to harvest 3x for Cooking materials are now dropping them all instantly in just one harvest. King-Sized Candy Corn node in the Home instance, too.
thehipone.6812
I like the change to how bounty works, speeds up farming a lot. I suspect that the functionality change is related to the recent...issue...with the glacial mining tool and associated glyph.

Guild hall nodes does complete in one go now (except the mining node), but I'm still having to go twice on the King-Size Candy Corn node in the home instance. What glyph are you using on your mining pick?
Khisanth.2948
I think they simply streamlined gathering to "a single interact can gather up to 4 times" or maybe 5 whatever the max is. The way the additional gathers are implemented has also changed. Previously you can still see the prompt for the additional gather showing up and you could even interrupt that automatic gather by moving when you see it pop up. Now it is just one animation making it much smoother. With this change it also means you can go back to interrupting the gathering aftercast to speed up gathering node patches like the flax farm again. \o/
