Taril.8619
There's very little to gain from a GW2 Classic. Given that for the most part, the differences are just relative differences (I.e. Mounts/Gliding being superior to just running, newer stat combinations making builds stronger, E-Specs being stronger). Much of which can literally be experienced right now as you can quite easily run around as a level 80 in base stat combination exotics and core specializations in Central Tyrian zones with only a few plant and ley-line events as a difference. There are a few actual changes to be had with going back to classic, such as the change to specialisations, WvW being part of map completion, not-trash LA... As such, it's not particularly worthwhile to do... It just doesn't really do much other than undo a TON of QoL adjustments that have been made over the years. (Unlike WoW and WoW Classic, where WoW Classic undid a TON of **AWFUL** changes made to the game over the years in addition to all the QoL adjustments, which made it interesting and fun to play albeit with a limited shelf life due to the inherent nature of essentially being in maitenance mode) A better scenario would be to look back on the few good aspects of classic GW2 and see if they can be incorporated into current GW2. Such as nuking LA so it can be re-remade into something good. Perhaps even a new overhaul to the specialization system, one that incorporates the inclusion of Elite Specs better (So you won't get janky things like how Necro is heavily focused around "Be in Shroud" for all of its core specs, then Scourge comes along and is like "Hi guys, I don't have normal Shroud but I can still be useful right? Right!?") so that E-Specs can have more freedom of design without necessarily being tied down to certain mechanics that are so featured in core specs (Such as Necro's Shroud focus, Guardian's virtue auto-procs, Elementalist and attunement swapping etc)
wmtyrance.3571
A classic server that follows what the original plan was for the game. The classic Manifesto server. Yeah, I would pay a monthly fee for that.

What you believe to be the "best parts of classic" may not be what others believe. How could ANet accommodate everyone's idea of what the best parts are (or were)? > i think you missed the part about "unlikely"
