Danikat.8537
I didn't realise Germany or Austria celebrates Thanksgiving. Every so often someone asks me what we do in the UK for Thanksgiving and I say that's a North American tradition and the nearest I know of in Europe is the various harvest festivals, but in the UK that's purely something celebrated by schools and churches. I'll have to find out more about the German and Austrian celebrations. There's the pagan festivals of Lammas, Mabon and Samhain of course, but those are earlier in the year and also not quite the same as American Thanksgiving.
