This is an image of what I get:

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/274679522887073792/784595854781710367/unknown.png

My second issue is that whenever I'm playing the game, primarily in WvW, I get a very occasional black screen and it'll spazz out before coming back, although sometimes my secondary monitor on my set up won't come back on until the game eventually soft crashes again. Sometimes its very frequent, other times its spaced out. It's random and there's no clear cause to the problem. Occasionally it has even permanently lowered my system volume until I restarted my pc. My specs are as followed:

AMD Ryzen 3700X (No overclock)

GTX 980 (No overclock)

16gb DDR4 Ram running at 3000mhz CL15

Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

Asus TUF WiFi X570 Motherboard

My temperatures don't spike, although my ram usage while running the game alone can spike to 60% usage or more. Yes, I am running on a wired connection. I have reinstalled the game many times, graphic drivers, everything short of a full windows reinstall. I'm running the game off of a NVME drive. Every other game works fine on this system with appropriate settings, this one does not seem to want to. Any and all help and or suggestions appreciated. I have dumped money into this game and I would hate to stop playing it because of these issues that seem to have no fix.

Disable this. RivaTuner commonly causes this problem due to being outdated / caching.

This is your GPU / drivers crashing and recovering. First, confirm it's still a problem without RivaTuner. When installing your GPU drivers, you want to clean install them and try different versions. Also update your motherboard's BIOS and run through any other system updates. The GPU could be starting to fail, in which case you could try a slight underclock to make it more stable.

Thank you, so far uninstalling Riva tuner at least lets me start the game! I will do an extended test in WvW tonight and let you know if it also solved that issue. If not, I will go for a clean reinstall and a gpu underclock to see if that helps with anything. Will update soon, thank you so much.

Ok, can confirm now after trying both of these things, the second issue is still not resolved :/

How is your RAM's high usage percentage a problem?

It is _good_ that your OS assigns most of the data it's working with to your RAM rather than to your virtual memory (which uses your SSD/HDD and constantly reads and writes, resulting in heavy wear of the drive and a much slower processing).

Never said my ram usage was a problem, just that it seems high given that it's guild wars, not exactly the most ram hungry game on the planet, or at least it shouldn't be. I doubt its a problem anyways because its not like my ram usage is excessive. It really does seem to boil down to a driver conflict with my gpu but I'm not sure what else to try. I'm on a pretty old card so driver updates aren't very frequent and I've tried numerous drivers after clean installs but still the issue persists. I'm not sure what else to try at this point.

Yes, my bad. I thought the RAM usage was your second issue. Sorry. :)

Since you seem certain that it is not an overheating issue, have you tried playing around with your overclocking and hyper-threading settings in BIOS? Perhaps something is askew.

Also, have you updated your Windows before the problem started to occur? Perhaps an update is causing the problem, so you could try to go back to a former build to test this, unless you have no backup to test it with (in which case I recommend creating one frequently in the future). You can google the KBs that you installed recently and see if one is known to be faulty, then uninstall that one.

I have run the entire system on stock to no avail sadly. My first issue regarding windows updates has been resolved by uninstalling an outdated version of Rivatuner, so it seems like the two issues weren't related to begin with. I'm pretty sure the intermittent black screen issue isn't at all related to windows updates given how this particular issue has been recurring for months and the instant it started to happen, reverting the latest windows update was one of the first things I tried. Sadly no results so I've been staying up to date on them seeing as how it seems to make no difference what version of windows I run.

I don't want to worry you, but it could be a broken motherboard. Have you tried a different PCIe slot for your graphics card?

I haven't, no. It does seem very unlikely given that other games can run for extended periods of time with no issues but I guess that could be possible.
