Can't start last Icebrood Saga chapter

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a lack of information.

 

Level 80 character with HoT and PoF bought (still unplayed).

I've kept being invited to the Eye of the North these last weeks, and now that the chapter is closed (?), I decided to have a look.

 

All the chapters of Icebrood Saga are locked as I didn't played them, and only the last chapter is selectable, so I switched from the vanilla personal story to this chapter, after agreeing to skip the earlier chapters (I haven't bought them yet).

Now a green star tells me to meet with Aurene at the Eye of the North, so I use my account travel stone to teleport to the Eye of the North.

There, I can only talk to the four ghosts, and the green star redirects me to... the zone where I came from.

 

I don't know if I'm entitled to play this last chapter, and if so how I can play it, or if I am not, and in this case, why I was able to unlock it. Just wondering.

 

When being in the Gendarran Fields, ready to use the portal stone.


 

When at the Hall of Monuments and not finding Aurene.


 

Or perhaps the portal stone is not deemed to be used in such situation, despite it is described as teleporting for free to the Eye of the North, and I should use the gateway system? A slight oversight, then?

Yes, the Portal Stone ports you to a different instance (the one were you can pick up all your GW1 rewards and ranger pets), one that only you can enter. You need to use the Waypoint at the EotN (or the Portal Tome that you can buy there) to get to the current instance of the Eye.

Yes, it worked this way. Portal Stone is a personal instance, indeed.

By the way, I saw Xunlai chests in it. They could make for a free Banker once I unlock the service in the open world, provided these "private" ones are functional.
