Third option for middle ground.

 

Remove the anti regen aspect. Replace with a fixed endurance cost per movement impairing condition removed.

 

Immobilize -20 endurance

Cripple -10 endurance

Chill -10 endurance

I am not for a middle-ground solution because I don't negotiate with Karl McLain and his team: time and time again they have been kittening Thief class for years now, for no good reason at all. The pure, unexplained, hate of other classes towards us is not a good enough reason but rather a pretext.

It's a balance patch and they want to include every class somehow. Whether or not the changes actually make sense is irrelevant to them. Just like with the removal of the ricochet trait, A-Net's logic in regard to thief: when in doubt -> nerf.

I would return it personally, but if compromise must be made, either the the icd on removing condition ( 3 seconds to match weavers would be fair) or the slight increase in endurance cost when removing would be acceptable.

I vote to revert it, but if a nerf on UC must be, so be it : just in a different form that is not so ridiculously punishing.
