hotfix the scourge please

they are still overpowered they need fixing double scourge teams dominate decent teams without a scourge without an effort at all its only balanced when there is double scourge vs double scourge

some people will pick the most game breaking class but arena net you are the first responsible for this mess

They are not overpowered.

 

They work too well too often. Specially in conquest where you win the longer you can stand in a circle and keep others from standing in there.

That isn't exactly overpowered.

 

Defeating them isn't hard, but they can keep others from the points with relative ease.

 

 

As I see it, the solution is rather simple, and it doesn't really require chaging scourge:

 

* Incremental death timers.

 

Defeating a scourge isn't too hard if you ready a build for it at the start of a match. But they can very quickly run back and push you out of the point before you can cap it, and still get more score from the point while they are hogging it than you can get from quickly killing them over and over.

 

Change death timers to be longer and longer the more you die, and being bad players that die too often gets properly punished, and taking them out from outside the point becomes the very viable tactic that it should have always been.

 

Even if it's just +1 second for each defeat it would be enough to offset how fast a mindless unkilled spaming scourge can just stroll back from the base after being defeated and still keep the point just from the time they can stay alive spammity-spamming.

Since when core ranger with WS line weak to condis? You can have lots of clear, some of which is instant. You can also add BM line with "lesser quickening zephyr" to insta cleanse 2 condis on pet swap, gain superspeed to disengage a bit and quickness to cast your healing skill faster. NM line offers some cleanse on dodge as well. Can also use the signet. And if you run longbow with its 1500 range you shouldn't get condibombed at all in the first place. From my experience vanilla power ranger is one of the easiest way to kill a scourge, can do well vs mirage too.

Lol, good warriors? scourges eat warriors like they are not even there, you are really out of touch with pvp.

Scourge pushes so many things out of the meta because you cant get close. Any melee classes get condi bombed into oblivion, any spec that pushes a whole raft of classes/specs out of the meta needs changing. Theres a reason you see so many Scourges, and it's got nothing to do with players new found love with a death thematic for their characters. By comparison how many spirit Rangers do you see, none, because they are shit.

 

I dont think the problem is limited to Scourge, Mirage, SB, FB are all over performing compared to the HoT specs and core.

kinda, still a losign match-up but yeah if u are good u can kinda pull out a miracle as opposed to the vast majority of melee classes that get destroyed.
