Scribing and insanely rare materials...

Okay, as a scribe I find myself wanting to craft certain items but the materials are so rare than only a handful are even on the TP.

 

Examples: Maguuma Lily, Evergreen Lodestones, Lumber Cores, Pristine Feathers, Jungle Grass Seed, Rare Flower Seeds.

 

I know that Evergreen Slivers are obtainable -sometimes- from meta rewards in VB, but it feels like the drop rate has been significantly diminished since launch. As for Maguuma Lilies, I have gotten 2 since the launch of HoT, Lumber Cores are hit or miss, but Printine Feathers and Grass/Flower Seeds are even worse.

 

Any ideas here?

Ask your guild?

 

Part of the reason scribing is more expensive than other crafts is it's supposed to be a shared effort - since the whole guild shares the results the whole guild can contribute materials. If you can edit the guild message you could list the materials you need there, and if not you could ask the leader or an officer to list them for you. Or simply ask in guild chat if anyone has any to spare.

I am 1 of the 3 leaders of my guild...and the most active representing member these days...sometimes the only one. Oh well. At least I do have lots of fun getting what I need.

Evergreen slivers have gone up in supply since you can get them in PoF as well as HoT. I agree with you on the rest. The costs for a tree or a plant seem somewhat extraordinary compared to other items.
