The game(ANet) **needs to to support guilds with true GvG system** like Gw1 did o nits pvp side... for sure... so we can get rid of this noobage low skill stack n spam. I think his point was to the number of scourges and firebrands being fielded. Sure, there is a high skill level being displayed by certain guilds, but fielded comps affect whether the engagement is balanced and whether the result is truly skill based or a "whoever fielded the most scourges won". Or. whichever guild used gimmick comps that exploit a game mechanic that Anet has yet to balance wins. I think that was what that comment referred to. The amount of firebrands is pretty equal or less than most guilds used to run base guard/DH. Scourge numbers are up from 3-4 to 5-6 in exchange. There are also guilds using thieves, druids, holosmith, mirage, chrono. RISE v TAG featured Revenant pretty heavily (in guild hall too!), and revs have not been very heavily used in the tourney so far. I think there's a far greater amount of variance than just stack scourge and win. Almost all guilds are using a stealth opener as well, which adds another layer of teamplay and counterplay.
