how to disable the map animation and other issues

Hello,

I'm trying GW2 after some years and I just wanted to know how can I disable the map animation (when you click on the Map key the animation that displays the map full screen)? I'm fairly sensitive to that type of motion and after playing a few hours I start to get nauseous. Also is it possible to NOT have it display full screen? Another annoying factor for me is the way that the character feels "heavy". Moving is not fluid and seems like I'm piloting a heavy craft. Not sure how to explain that. Just every other game the movement is much more fluent.

You could try dragging the corner of the minimap and have it expanded as much as possible.

Regarding character movement: it is actually quite precise. Make sure you've set A and D to strafe (not turn around) and use right mouse button to turn around.

Are you using a Norn or Charr? They 'seem' to move slower than other races. You might consider trying an Asura. Also, after completing some Masteries, you do get a permanent speed boost in some areas, and, of course, Mounts come with a speed boost and different movement control/animations.

You can't change the World Map animation; a suggestion might be to close your eyes whenever using 'M'.

You can unbind the map key unless you actually need to keep opening the map for some reason ...
