New Rifle Gemstore Item Doesn't Look like Website Pic

So there is some inconsistency with the New Rifle. It appears darker and "better" imo on the website pic. However, in the gemstore it appears to be a shiny chrome color with a blue hue. I was thinking about buying the one that is displayed on the news feed, but the one in the gemstore is not as good IMO.

Do be aware: Lighting in different environments will affect the color and/or appearance of items in-game. In some areas, items appear lighter, in some areas items appear darker; not to mention color changes overall, depending on the ambient lighting. This has been known since not long after launch.

It is pretty usual for the gemstore preview to NOT look exactly like the real item in game. This is very common.

I wouldn't be surprised the actual rifle looks more like the website picture and less like the gemstore preview.

It’s also a matter of lighting. Preview window only shows a non-environment lighting, so in the game, The shading may change quite a bit.

It's a shader issue ... again. :/

 

Change your shader setting to either Low or High and it should look more or less the same. For whatever reason medium shader setting is often the wrong setting.
