4. Spinal Shivers

Daze an enemy for 1.5 seconds, dealing damage and removing up to three boons, dealing additional damage per boon removed.

5. Reaper's Scythe

Conjure a shadowy scythe that rakes towards you, dealing damage and applying 2s of chill and 10 vulnerability for 5s to foes it passes through while granting you 4% life force per enemy struck.

Reaper's Touch just needs the bounces removed and then combine all the damage/vuln into one instant non projectile hit (like spinal shivers). Also replace regen with an offensive boon instead, something like quickness, might or fury. Then just shave the cast time, on spinal shivers, to 3/4s and make remove the tier damage per boon removed and replace with just the highest amount.

That way the focus remains basically the same as what it did before but more reliable and effective.

...and destroy our only anti kite weapon? No thanks!

You think a lousy 1,5s Daze will save you, when you can't slow down (chill) your kiting target anymore? Warhorn4 and GS5 are already useless because everyone is 24/7 on stability. Soft CC like Chill on Focus5 and the Immob on Dagger3 are much more rewarding these days than any stupid Daze/Stun that gets "immuned" 90% of the time.

The chill should stay on this weapon imo spinal shivers only needs a faster casting time and slightly lower cooldown and it would be fine. Maybe at most a new effect that gives you the boons you rip from that foe. But thats it.

I dont trust that they would do this coding properly it would end up some what like Reaper greatsword 5 which is buggy and misses alot or simply fails to cast when a foe is slightly too far to the left or right.

My proposal her would be to either do one of 2 things

1. Fix the coding so that the projectile tracks better and will no longer bounce to allies but will still combo bounce from yourself to an enemies or between enemies other. Life force gain remains the same and it rips one boon for each time it hits a target instead of applying Vulnerability.

2. Rework this skill completely into a defensive skill that provides necro with at least 1 defensive tool regardless if its a flip over skill counter too like bandits defense or a much more simpler counter such as mesmer secpter 2 etc.

I kinda like focus #4 as it is at the moment, but the regen isn't really useful. Might or fury would work. I'd take weakness application too, as it seems to fit more thematically.

For Spinal Shivers I'd like to see a bit of a throwback to the GW1 skill. Keep the boon rip and damage, but add a conditional effect instead of the current 5s chill: Apply the same chill as it currently does if the target is not already chilled. If the target is already chilled this skill instead dazes the target for 1s. Basically, if you can chill with something else, then you have an opportunity to set someone up to either dodge SS, stunbreak or eat axe #2. Bonus: in PvE you get a way to do some hard breakbar damage instead of just applying chill to a target that already has it from 50 different sources.
