I have the disk, but I have bought a new laptop that doesn't have the disk dock thing. So is there any way to get the game without the disk? I have an account with both expansions. Normally I like to have hard copies of all my games, but in this case I thought it's pointless because if the servers ever go down I can't play it anyway, and as long as they're up there will be a way to download it. * Go to the main GW2 site * Hover over the 'Services' menu * Click 'download game' * Select which version you want * Download and run the installer (BTW in case anyone reading this isn't aware you don't need to transfer anything from your old computer - all the data related to your account is saved on Anet's end, so you won't lose anything by switching machines.) I still have an external DVD burner on a shelf, I bought it just in case for my previous machine maybe 5 years ago or so... dolcolax.1268 Posted February 17, 2018 Share Posted February 17, 2018 got me confused at first. i thought when you said disc you meant hdd. you can download the installer just like some mentioned. and if youve got a big enough usb you can copy your gw2 folder from your old laptop. but i suggest just downloading it and start new.
