Some people on this forum have been here since the day it opened, have all 12 badges it's currently possible to earn, and have made literally thousands of posts and they still have 3 stars. It's possible it is just time-gated - the forum only opened 6 months ago, so if you need to be here for a year or whatever to get 4 stars it won't be possible yet. But it could also be that they want to avoid the situation you get on some other forums with 'rank' systems where some people seem to think posters with more starts/points/whatever are _always_ right (even if what they say is clearly wrong) and entitled to lord it over anyone with a lower rank.
