Minimum number of people for PVE guild content

Hi all,

Not sure if this question belongs in this part of the forums but wasn't sure where else to put it.

I have a really small group of mates who like to play GW2 together and we have a formed a guild for the four of us to share. That being said we would love too participate in some of the guild specific content but we aren't sure if its possible for us too 4 man it. Could someone confirm the minimum amount of people needed to complete the PVE guild content? We only really want to do this so that we can unlock the guild bank feature too share materials with each other.

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks in advance.

Some content can be solo'ed (Easy Guild Bounty, Easy/Medium Guild Trek, some Guild Challenges). Races are best done in weekends, when other guilds are doing them - just tag along to get participation. The hardest thing will be claiming the guild hall itself - but if you watch a few videos, you should have it in a few tries provided you're using adequite builds.

In short, Yes, this should be easily achievable.

Guild Puzzles are intended for a minimum of 6 players, but some parts can be done with fewer players. For example...

* In Langmar Estate, the middle room with the curtains is very easy with 12 players, but it can be done with as few as 6 players if each player opens an inner curtain then goes to the corresponding outer curtain and does the correct emote. The first and last room can potentially be done with fewer, but 6 is basically the minimum for this puzzle.

* In Angvar's Trove, the final room with the torches needs 6 players to light the flames. The first two rooms can potentially be done with fewer, but again 6 is basically the minimum for this puzzle.

* In Proxemic's Lab, it is possible to do it with fewer than 6 players. 3 to 4 players can probably pull this off if they are able run each of the sections quickly enough.

Guild Challenges usually require more players to ensure success, but a few of those can probably be done with as few as 6 players if you're well-versed in the challenge and can bring enough DPS.

Blightwater Shatterstrike - 6 players split into 2 teams of 3 is probably a rough minimum for this, but more is better

Branded for Termination - 8 to 9 players split into 3 teams is a basic minimum.

Deep Trouble - 9 split into 3 teams of 3 is a rough minimum.

Save our Supplies - 10 to 12 is about the minimum. This is arguably the hardest challenge and the least forgiving for small numbers.

Scratch Sentry Defense - 6 to 8 players split into 3 teams is a basic minimum

Southsun Crab toss - 6 to 8 is probably a minimum, provided you have a solid crab-carrier team (1 expert carrier, 2 support) and the other team is packing high DPS to take down any vets that spawn.

Rushes and Treks can be done by as few as 1 player if you're just looking for personal credit. Once you complete the race, or activate a trek location, the player will get credit for the mission. However, if you're trying to complete the mission fully for Guild Credit, you'll want more players to help complete the race or trek within the time limit. If no other guilds are participating, 5 players each doing the rush 3 times can earn the 15 completions within the time limit. For treks, 5 to 6 players can complete a 30-trek within the time limit, and the 5-trek and 15-trek can be done within the time limit with even fewer players.

For easy bounties, I've seen easier single target bounties like Trillia and Brekkabek handled with as few as 3 players. With 6 players split into 2 teams of 3, you can usually handle most 3-target bounties fairly easily (each team goes for 1 target, then first to finish goes for final target with other team helping if they can). For 5 target bounties, you'll probably need about 9 players minimum split up into 3 teams, and the first two teams to complete a target take another target). Again, more is generally better, and having at least 12 to 15 players for a 5 target bounty helps a lot.

We are often only 5 or 6 people.

Blightwater Shatterstrike: Can be done with 5, one for each crystal. I'm not sure if we tried it with less people, but maybe that's possible as well.

Branded for Termination: Can easily be done with 6. I'm not sure if we've done it with 5.

Deep Trouble: Can be done with 6. Two teams. I'm not sure if there is enough time when you get this as the difficult mission.

Scratch Sentry Defense: We do it regularly with 6 people. I'm not sure if we've done it with 5.

Before this one got rebalanced, I doubt that would be possible, but I can see how this could work in the current version if you can avoid drawing too much aggro. We generally drop the crystals to 10% then split into clockwise/counterclockwise teams of 3+ each to finish them off.

> Branded for Termination: Can easily be done with 6. I'm not sure if we've done it with 5.

That's impressive. We usually need 3 on each devourer and put at least 2 on the ogre. However, with some of the newer condi builds, it's a lot easier to drop the devourers than it used to be so I can see how 3 teams of 2 might be enough now.

> Deep Trouble: Can be done with 6. Two teams. I'm not sure if there is enough time when you get this as the difficult mission.

Using 2 teams works for the easy and medium levels, but it's easy to run out of time at hard without 3 teams. Teams of 3 for each quaggan escort is the basic minimum, and this assumes basic proficiency with UW combat. Sometimes players struggle with UW combat or are still using their starter UW gear which can really gimp DPS.

Now that you mention it, I think we've done it with as few as 6 or 7, but with only 2 per lane it can be easy for a lane to wipe, especially if someone DC's.

To add a personal question on yo this. I have a guild that I founded at launch. I am the only member and used to use it to gradually generate banners. Is it possible (provided I have have the skill lvl) to attain anything and everything guild related (buffs boosters fancy stuff) with only one member? Solo'ing everything? I'm looking for a long term goal and miss my solo guild banners every once in a while.

Branded for termination and Blightwater shatterstrike can be done with 3 if you really go for it.

It needs some preparation and some res-running. But definitely Termination with one person per boss is possible. Each person needs to know what to do obviously and it might take a few tries and not dying.

If you get all the crystals down you can technically do two crystals at the same time. 5 is recommended though. Just need to keep moving and shooting rockets. The skills are literally made to avoid combat.
