I don't know for others, but as for me - I started playing GW2 with PVE, and somehow liked the camera shake, I felt it contributed to the overall immersion. I'm used to it now, and since I don't play competitively, I've left the feature active. I agree with you that it should be disabled for serious PvP or WvW, to provide a better reading in the fights.
