Tashigi.3159
When the Olmakhan Stormcallers summon the storm, there is a massive loss of FPS. From 90+ FPS down to 20+ FPS in an instant. Before storm (90+ FPS): https://image.ibb.co/jOmDJS/PoorFPS.png After storm (20+ FPS): https://image.ibb.co/c44aF7/PoorFPS2.png Inside facility (90+ FPS): https://image.ibb.co/mCn1oS/PoorFPS3.png My average FPS everywhere else in the game is between 45 (My very lowest) to 120 (My highest). I play at 1440P resolution and my system specs are below. However, I feel this may be an issue with the game in this particular area. I've never experienced this anywhere else, not even in 200+ player zergs in WVW. Thank you for reading. GW2 uses a total of 35-40% of it, in it's current state.
MrFayth.3546
30-40% on the average over 8 threads. While it's still bottlenecked by the Single Core/thread performance you get on the Rendering thread. There's huge gains to be had(IPC) from overclocking your CPU, especially in a CPU dependent game like this. As for the drops, I'll see if I can reproduce the behavior when I get on my desktop. checkchiron.8321
The same is happening to me. Whenever the storm begins my FPS drops to a crawl. Whenever I´m inside (or not facing the sky) the FPS normaizes again.
Tashigi.3159
I updated the Intel management engine interface driver via Driver Booster and while it did not solve the problem, as it is clearly an issue with the storm itself, it did improve FPS by about 15-20 FPS during the storm. Now instead of 19-22 FPS, I am getting 30-41 FPS. Just wanted to update yall.
