Can't equip level 80 great swords even with elite Reaper specialization.

I just make level 80 and trained the first 6 in Reaper elite, The first one says I can now use greatswords but after buying it I don't have the option to equip it. Is there something else I need

to do ? Thanks,

You have to select the Reaper-Tree as active in the Elite-Tree slot at the bottom of your trees.

Nope, not correct. My Reaper uses Greatsword and Staff.

Just to get the obvious out of the way. The slot directly below to your greatsword should be empty. You want the staff in the slot 2 down(or 2 up depending on where you put the greatsword) on the other side of the circular arrows switch icon.

I finally have it working but I am not sure how I did it. As anyone can tell I am not very good at this gaming. Thanks again to everyone I would not have

it working without all the great advice.

I guess your problem was you didn't set the 3rd trait line to "Reaper"?

I have to say, selecting elite specialisations should be clearer. I often have to hover over all the little trait icons before I find the right one.

 

A golden rim or less artsy icons would go a long way. Also because its the traitline at the bottom it can get overlooked as it doesnt look distinguished enough that that is the only place where you can select a elite specialisation.

 

Also from the "training skill/traits" window there could be a redirect to where you can actually equip them. A clear button I mean, not some right click hover over hidden away UI element.

I don't mean to sound rude, because I don't really like being this way, but.....

 

this is what happens when you use a level boost without 1st playing ANY of the game, and not having a clue as to what's goin on.

 

I would recommend you to go back and actually level a character 1st, so you can get some idea of how the game, and it's systems work, THEN go ahead and use that boosted character.

You have to have the Elite spec equipped in your trait tree, it will only go into the bottom of the three traits.

_Elite specializations can only be equipped in the bottom (third) specialization slot in the hero panel, which has a faint golden frame around it. Elite specialization exclusive weapons and skills cannot be equipped unless the respective elite specialization is also equipped_.
