I know that Anet has been pretty clear on their intentions for Raids & Fractals to be the supported PVE content, but there are still some players who may want to play Dungeons from time to time: especially if they still have some content locked behind dungeon achievements. The problem is that they're not solo-able and using the current LFG isn't exactly viable for finding a PUG.

 

One quality of life improvement that greatly aid people who are looking to do dungeons, _that would not be coding intensive_, is to modify the pvp queue to work with dungeons. You could create a check box on the dungeon lfg tab to allow players to select which dungeons they are interested in running (choices could be gated by level and/or map access), then allow them to queue up. Players could then continue gathering and doing pve content until a group is found. Once there is enough people with at least one common dungeon in queue, the player could get the same pop up option that pvp queuers get when they're playing pve content allowing them to join the instance (if out of combat) or leave the queue. If the whole group had multiple dungeons queued then they could either get a random dungeon similar to pvp map selection, or they could get to vote similar to the path choices in dungeon content.

 

Because it is simply re-purposing a feature that they already, it doesn't seem like it would negatively impact the game unless the goal was actually just to kill dungeons all together. If that was the goal, i'd rather them just remove the content instead of making it near impossible for someone to viably play that part of the game.

You can already do this only for 1 dungeon at the time tho, you put up your lfg continue map completing, gathering or wvwing.

When group is filled people will write in party -are you coming soon bud?

Would like them to change the lfg to similar to raid one so you can see all of em and people can just type in what ever dungeon they like instead of having to check each sub section to see if any party is searching before you put up your own.

The fact that you can only list in one of the tabs is what limits it's viability for easily finding PUGs, right now it doesn't offer much more than using the forums to find a group. A match-making system would do more to help you find other people wanting to do dungeons.

 

But I was also suggesting that it could pull you into the instance, like the Pvp matchmaker does.
