Pistol is the worst weapon in the game?

I love Pistol on Mesmer but unfortunately I'm condi build so don't use it anymore.

Aside from their lacking value as tools for killing stuff, I deeply despise Engie's Pistols because they are BORING. Engie's Rifle has a bunch of interesting options, each one with a very unique and fun animation. Pistols skills are always the same bland thing, not visually interesting, the same animation over and over. AND they are sub par as a build option. Terrible.

my thief mains deadeye and my halo inspired warrior uses rifle, they are both really powerful.

They feel powerful until they face a competent player or an actually good build.

When PoF was announced, I had really hoped for a gunslinger elite on the warrior, instead of yet another melee elite on a class where full melee is the only viable spec already. It could have been great.
