I lost points and get dishonor but i was in match

Dear Anet,

I did a match with my friend. When match stard he got dc and couldnt log on to the game. In normal sitoation for lost match 4 vs 5 i shouldn't lost match but i get -12 and count me as desertation. Why i an punish because dude dc???

Prevents people from queuing with a “safe” account to drop if they are going to lose the match.

 

Basically, the system is designed to prevent some of the easier manipulation. This results in marginal cases where a disconnect is treated as a loss for both players queued together.
