I'm pretty sure that's true with most games.

Isn't the point of Deathmatch not to have automatic respawns? Imo, King of the Hill = Deathmatch, but with respawns (+ capture point).

Annihilation is a specific subtype of deathmatch. I've learned we have to be more direct when after about a year of begging Anet finally added deathatch in form of courtyard, but it had respawns which nobody asked for but they thought that we did..

Whereas annihilation:

They can easily add new games like hunting tag last man standing and cap flag extra, as long as they keep them out of ranked! These type of games should be added to support guilds who pvp to offer gvg or guild fun or even fun with friends 5v5 extra, it will defo bring more pve players in.

an 8 v 8 or 10 v 10 where no more than two of the classes of either team can have a double stack.

multiple objectives that require different build types to earn an advantageous position/favor in the second portion which would be strictly a deathmatch type battle.

the battle would be fought with the same setup/composition as the first portion of the game.

so choosing a composition that would be able to accomplish the multiple goal types and still be effective at a deathmatch type game.

the advantage of winning the first portion would be a slight damage/speed and health boost(or something like that), and the deciding factor should the match come to a timeout or draw

team required, same way HA was

Without a doubt deathmatch is biased because a group of people see it as annihilation. Hope anet knows that...
