Quiting and episode

Why is there even an option in the story mode to quit a living story episode when it doesn't actually quit it? As soon as I move to a different map or log and then back in it is back on the episode.

If you finish the entire chapter and go back to redo it, it allows you to quit and it doesnt come back.

if you have yet to finish the chapter, the game forces the story back into your view constantly so you want to.

It will be back next time you start the game. Usually defaults to "Listen to Ela Makay's bs" about the History Recap for Season 1. It's annoying

On the three characters of mine that have ran through the entire story(all LWs, core, and both HOT and POF) it doesnt show up at all, unless i select a story to play, and upon quitting it, it doesnt show up again.

They could add a story called “Greet A Banker”, which has one step, to target a banker and /wave, and then that story ends. ?

It's annoying but doable I guess. You have to finish the story all the way up to HoT before it stops auto adding you to an episode. I guess anet assumes the living story up to the first expansion as still the personal story.
