  1. I hope there are enough mastery points when this is all done for me to complete the mastery. The way things are going, I might not be able to complete the last 2, let alone the last one, in the line, as there don't seem to be enough options outside of the "spend a lot of money buying weapons" or "do things in super challenge mode" choices. I've gotten used to the 8 raid points being the only ones I can't get, and that seemed like an easy 'line in the sand' for me to accept. I'd be discouraged if the new normal is to let casual folks fail because they don't want to participate in non-public style content.
  2. Because I think they were each challenging and sometimes not for different reasons at different times. What makes them great is they aren't each other. I hope EoD is a third thing.
  3. I hope it ends up being the case, that there are enough mastery points in Icebrood Saga, to get everything without having to do any of the "kill the monster without breathing while hopping up and down on one leg in under 3 minutes in a pre-formed group of 5 without being kicked because your DPS is less than the (r+m)/2 principle". I won't be participating in those. I don't mind the grindy things, and I don't mind things that require doing big metas with other people using the original GW2 method of 'organically grouping without really grouping' method, or even the public (uh, the world escapes me, starts with a 'D' I think? the new things we do? getting older, lose words all the time, you'll see  ).

Asura feel really robotic and norn are all about clipping. And it's yet another grind to get. > > Ugh. Figures. I'm actually glad to hear this, as I came here to post my displeasure with it being hidden behind "Kill Timmy On L33t D00dz Mode Hopping On One Leg With Both Hands Tied Behind Back While Avoiding It's Personal Liberties Attack While Not Logged Into The Game" activities. Sounds like even after all that, we wouldn't get back what we lost, and even then, have to 'actively' engage it. Which also circles back to the argument that it was removed because it was distracting in stories being only 'partially' the reason they got rid of it. Slowly creeping towards the 'not being fun for me anymore' finish line for me. :anguished: :-1:
  5. (Kinda) related, at least with a human female, get on a dragon, hover, fly backwards (S) and then I can't remember if it's left (A) or right (D) while flying backwards and look at one of your legs. Also related, it doesn't sound as fun as this oldie but goodie from LotRO.
  6. I’d just like clothes, but I’ll never see that, so just more horizontal content that entertains me, I guess.
  7. Looks great racing. I'm last. Behind people on foot. But it looks great racing.
  8. Ideally, for every point that is locked behind content I'm just not going to get to do, and not because it involves work and time, but because of the 'type' of content it involves, I would really like to see a point that takes some work and time, but isn't like "Kill Jimmy Jammy in less than 30 seconds without being hit by his third telegraph the second time, but his second telegraph, but only after you break his shield the 4th time, with 10 of your closest friends, with your right ankle behind your neck, using a spoon". There's someone on one of those teams, and it always seems like you just 'know' when their turn was up for content, based on mastery requirements, or how the meta is walled behind content like that, with no alternate path to completion. I'm concerned this Champion episode is going to pinch those mastery points and I won't have enough to spend on that last thing in Dragon Mastery. Unless, the last thing in Dragon Mastery is for raider type folks, then just hide it like you hid raids away, and instead of always being 8 off, now I'll always be 13 off.
  9. Thank you for everything you were able to deliver this year. It’s been a tough one on a lot of fronts, and it’s been nice to have something familiar to visit every day. Be safe, looking forward to the future.
  10. Probably a hyper-focused comment, but I'm mostly concerned about having enough master points available for me to get everything on the list. The one that has be concerned is Shooting Star. Not so much by itself, but the fact that there were 5 available points, and '2' of them are fairly difficult, either economically or overly difficult content. So I'm just concerned about having enough available points for everyday people. Unless, the last thing on the list is an ability you only use in elite content, then that's fine, but then I wish they'd wall it off in the same way the raid ones are walled off (i.e., I don't see them). Though, I would be sad if they keep adding more mastery points that separate people. It stands, at least for me, at 8 right now.
  11. There is really largely only one set of armor I wear for light and leather, and a few for heavy, depending on race, but recently picking an outfit for heavy. Wish there were more options I was interested in, but I am 1 of many.

I'm noticing I have to go 'fishing' to find the meta. Efficiency shows percentages complete based on 'everything'. I for sure don't do 'everything'. Are your percentages based on 'everything', or just 'completing the Meta' (which I see Efficiency calls the 'Mastery')? > > Efficiency shows completion of meta, not completion of everything. I must be looking at the wrong thing then. https://gw2efficiency.com/account/achievements shows me I've completed what it calls "Jormag Rising" Mastery, which is what I would consider the 'meta' achievement, but it shows on the left outline bar, and at top, that I've only completed 82% (53/64) of 'everything' for Jormag Rising.
  13. I find it interesting it's trending down. I found it easier to complete the last two metas vs the earlier ones specifically because of metas (and sometimes story). I'd much rather see the metas be things that are "do a lot of moderately challenging things" or "do some things repeatedly over a long period of time". I'm not a fan of when the meta steps involve things like the strikes, overly complicated story steps (kill the crazy thing you can only kill by kiting for an hour in under 30 seconds standing on one leg while eating a hot pocket!). Rather, I should say I don't like it when the meta includes those things and _does not include enough alternate steps to complete the meta in a different way_. I was able to do the last two, but I think Whisper in the Dark and Shadow in the Ice I couldn't complete? I didn't do Steel and Fire either (that was the one in EotN, right?) I think I eventually pulled off Bound by Blood, when I finally found that last balloon, I had a path to finish. I think SitI had all the strike stuff in it, so I didn't get close. I might have found a way to finish WitD, but I'd have to login to see. Actually, just went to look at Efficiency to see if I could figure out how to look at it that way , and I did do WitD. I'm noticing I have to go 'fishing' to find the meta. Efficiency shows percentages complete based on 'everything'. I for sure don't do 'everything'. Are your percentages based on 'everything', or just 'completing the Meta' (which I see Efficiency calls the 'Mastery')?
