The nerf to epi I can handle, but that dhuumfire CD is just ridiculous! If you're going to nerf epi, at least compensate with more personal dps not less! This is the kind of thing that kinda bugs me. Dhuums fire with no cooldown is ok on reaper melee auto But was over powering on scourge with no cooldown But seriously lacking in power for a grand master with Core. Although there were some nice side buffs in other areas - Siphoned Power - Corrupt Boon - Death Spiral - Life Siphon (this one is questionable on play preference) Also no clean up between underwater core shroud and land core shroud... My suggestion.. find out who these loud mouths are , rally up together and get their class nerfed.. and see how they like it when combined power of loudmouths bite back against them. Actually I think people should wait for new benchmarks 1st. Although it is quite obvious that Scourges are still going to be at the bottom but maybeeee not much will change, just disappointing. PvP is devoid of most of the old "elite" pvpers, that game mode has been ruled by the whims of the reward farmers almost since they added ranked mode and it's way too good rewards. It's been the source of a lot of bad decisions that affected the rest of the game, simply because PvP is too good as a farm, most notably the Grandmaster Marks for Ascended gear. Scourge was badly handled since the start, they constantly fail to address the actual issue, which is how Shades work, and instead of reworking their mechanic, they keep mangling and breaking the parts that were working. It's unlikely that we'll ever see scourge being decently balanced ever, unless some dev gets some courage and reworks the shade mechanic, by adding some interaction with it. If shades worked marginally like the summons for Renegade, but instead of dying from people breathing on them, they had a break bar to destroy them, scourges could just be rolled back to how they were at launch, after they fixed the weird bugs that were doubling effects and the like. The nerfs to condi in general w/ the nerfs to scourge previously it was finally starting to feel normalized and in a decent place. Now its pointless to even play. Not to mention in PVE it wasnt even a top tier class the dps is spunk compared to other classes. Scourges in my static fractal group when we have to pug were already on a /kick status....I really hope someone revists this. Probably because condi reaper had as much dps than scourge but where viper reaper gained extra power dps on top of it's condi dps, scourge lost dps. Thus, condi reaper became the most optimal dps spec. As for _epidemic_ which can now only be used for killing trash, it is still the only reason a necromancer is welcome in a raid. Even before the delay scourge could be beaten easily by other scourges (that's more like who's the best scourge, or who had plague signet off cool down), Rangers and Deadeyes were also pretty powerful vs Scourges. Basically it was always a matter of bursting him down with ranged power attacks. Of course if you don't kill him fast you'd have to forfeit the point. But here's where you see that GW2 is very devoid of actual pvp players. Because in other PvP games, when you have something OP but with a clear counter, that counter becomes the meta. I haven't played sPvP since the season after PoF release, but i never had much trouble with cc, trail of anguish and a few well placed Reaper's mark or Garish Pillar will prevent some of the CC outputs by interrupting them. Then Epidemic is nerfed and we went back again. At least they should remove Epidemic's projectiles and revert it to its original instant form. The instant version had to be changed because when 200 players are close to each other in wvw, the stress it put on the servers seized uo everyone's skill casts. Everyone sees the scary red lights and cries OP. The delay itself was enough of a nerf to warrant added time to look at the class, but nope go with the whiny flow. Scourge is a bag (without a babysitter) to most every class with 1200 range(if they're not brain dead), let alone 1500 range classes, stunlock thieves, and insta-kill mesmers.
